Good day house. Pls what's the update on Flourmills of Nigeria Plc delisting? I learned it has been delisted from NGX daily official list. What happens to our shares? I've some units of shares in my stock portfolio. What next? |

20k barrels really ? As at 2023 according to NUPRC, the company was producing 135kbpd, and about 60kboepd in gas. If true that just goes to show how little Shell were investing in the assets since they put it up for sale Mpeace: |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 7:30pm On Mar 14 |
easysunny:You're still a shareholder of Flourmills. But you no longer have much rights enforceable by SEC and NGX. I think you will have to visit the Registrar to sign a document to the effect that you have refused the buyout and wish to remain a shareholder. Importantly, you're still entitled to dividends if any. Please note well this bolded, since you're no longer entitled to any disclosures like quarterly results. So when you don't see any dividends, then you take it there is nothing to share. But grumbling will always be allowed. Mind you the company still has a board which holds periodic meetings. But the 'G' in AGM, for example, will no longer be there. I must be missing many things. 4 Likes |

faoogoke:The onshore assets are big deal, but Aradel is high-priced already. The 100% acquisition completion news may have been largely priced in, pending further demonstrations of the goldmine credentials of the company. 1 Like |

With the completion of this asset take over by the Renaissance group, indigenous Nigerian firms now dominate the upstream oil sector especially onshore (at least 60%). This is laudable. 2 Likes |

Glad ARADEL is starting to get the recognition it ought to get. This is one Indigenous company that is prime for sustainable growth provided the BoDs stick to the road map. Right now it may seem that the capacity is low as compared to their competitors but this is a company that still has a whole lot to offer in O&G as well as other energy-related investment. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 2:39pm On Mar 15 |
KarlTom:This report says 124k for the SPDC JV. So when you do the maths SPDC/Renaissance share should be 30% of the 124k which is about 37k barrels per day. Since Aradel direct and indirect stake in Renaissance is 33.34% it means Aradel will then take 33.34% of 37k barrels per day, which is about 12k barrels per day. Abeg make somebody re-do this thing for us. I no too sabi maths. 1 Like |

Youngzedd: Oando has acquired a baggage of political risk in a foreign land. Going forth, Oando has to manage relationships carefully and neutrally with all Trinidad political parties, in case of political power shift.. Plus dealing with the local Labour Union. I don't know why they didn't build a refinery in Nigeria. But the Refinery is good, and makes Oando more powerful in case drill baby drill drops crude oil below $60/barrel. Trump is personally watching oil prices closely to make that happen. Trump likes to be seen to deliver on campaign promises In periods of oil glut and prices crash, oil companies fall back on their refining operations. 4 Likes |

zendi:Why will trump want oil price down. If price drops does it favour oil companies in USA. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 7:43pm On Mar 15 |
Streetinvestor2:The Global price for crude oil is the same both Globally and going into US Refineries. If the crude price going into US Refineries drops, the price of gasoline out of the Refineries will drop, and the Pump price going into Voter's fuel tanks will drop and the Voters will be happy with the President. This is one of the dearest agendas of US Presidents historically, making Voters to fill their gas tanks (fuel tanks) cheaply. And you know what that does to the political fortunes of the President and his Party. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 8:02pm On Mar 15 |
zendi:Oga I am sorry you don't have idea of what you are talking. The low price of oil does not favour American oil companies. Go check the cost of production of sehel oil and the cost of production by opec companies. For Americans oil companies to still remain in business they need oil price to remain high. The opec countries rather uses low price of crude to close Americans oil production which they have done in the past.It is only countries like nigeria that are not efficient that low oil affects. Your initial post was about the companies into oil production and not about Refineries. My question and comments is about companies into oil production 3 Likes |
