Good morning bosses. I have a big Daddy 06 that I using at the moment with my own dealer plate number. I want to know if I can use it for uber/bolt. Although not full time. Just weekends.
Is it allowed?

I doubt. But you can take it for inspection. Once it passes inspection you're on.

Someone should tag that jobless boy that cries around. I'm sure you have also seen how Tinubu sacked Fubara because of political instability in the state. That's what Jonathan should have done to Shetimma when he declared SoE.

That's not true bro, you've replied him more than 5 times this month alone, haba! You guys should rest this matter. Tinubu is already in power, he'll likely be there for 8 years. Let's talk about more serious matters.

Hmmmmmm

This is where whatever drivers union that was created should be useful.

First file a lawsuit suing LASG, and get a restraining order on the matter...

Then make dem sort the issue out.

Wahala... Do u know the contract LASG entered with GAC?
That supercedes any other agreement d drivers or individuals have with LAGRIDE or LASG or Ministry of Transportation. If that contract wasn't solid enough, GAC will not be able to come and take over d cars. Alot of influential people in govt collected those cars. And they weren't remitting. They thought it's the normal usual national cake of collecting govt property and never paying for it.
U dey play with China?

As long as the drivers are not aware of what LASG signed, nothing supercedes the other.

Lagos entered a contract with the drivers, to drive, and own. That's a standing, binding contract on its own, and nothing supercedes that.

That's why I advised the Union to take LASG to court. The court, seeing two different contracts involved, might pause the take over till both parties come to a conclusion

No be to dey post am for social media. The court is the strongest option to get a tangible verdict

wait, are they withdrawing the cars from people that already signed Hire Purchase deal, and have paid part of the Total Balance or this is just applicable to the left over cars that are yet to be assigned to drivers?

Let's say I buy a car from u on installment payment or car loan. Then I give the car to Lagbaja on HP. I am collecting money from Lagbaja and even collected down payment. But I am not remitting my own payments to u or paying up my monthly loan repayment.
First of all that car is still ur property until I finish paying it. So Lagbaja that has agreement with me doesn't have any standing at all when issues come up.
If I default on d agreement and u come to retrieve the car, do u mean that Lagbaja can stop u from taking possession of your car?
Except u don't know ur right or u don't have a good lawyer, my agreement with Lagbaja is secondary to your contract with me. And u will take ur car and court will tell me to go and settle with Lagbaja. Lagbaja no get business with u. And my agreement with lagbaja cannot hold ur own business to ransome. Except Lagbaja dey very influential.
Now Contract that has International dispute cannot even be attended to by mere Magistrate talkless.
That's why FG and some states have cases to answer in courts outside the country because those investors know that they will be foolish to rely on our judicial system.
Technically speaking if they have the power to suspend LASG and take over Lagride, basically sidelining the govt, is it ordinary drivers union that will now hold them ransome?

Was Lagbaja aware of the agreement you signed with me?

As long as he isn't aware, he has the right to take YOU, not Me to Court.

The drivers have no business with CIG Group. Na Lagos state ask them to come and drive, pay and own. They signed it

A breach in that agreement will see the court sanctioning Lagos State.

Now u are talking, so after u done collect your car, lagbaja come carry me go court because I can't return all the money he paid me.
Will court now call u to bring the car back and give Lagbaja?
The answer is No.
U have taken ur car and the case is now between you and me in one court and also between me and Lagbaja in another court. Nothing join You and Lagbaja.
Except if Lagbaja agrees to ur new terms, and works for u while still dragging me to return his down payment.

You are saying this thing as if the court will tell the driver ..."Ohh, Kpele, LASG has another agreement with another person"

grin grin grin

E be like say you no know court.

If the driver gets a restraining order, no amount of "Na me borrow Lagos the money" will change it.

They better go to court now, instead of sharing it on Whatsapp groups. My opinion sha

Like I said except u don't have a good lawyer or you don't know your rights.
When a legal matter is built on illegality, that matter is of no consequence, it is null and void. The person that has right is d owner of the car.
The moment LASG defaulted in the payment for those cars, and breaks the main contract that produced the cars, all other sub-contracts tied to those cars are wobbling.

So if u look at the documents of those cars, they are property of Izou Estate. So when Lagbaja goes to court, court will say but this car is not in the name of the person u are suing na. The case to hold on to the cars has been lost. The only thing remaining is to hold the person that u paid money for to give u another car or refund ur money.

If a man marries 1st wife in court and has not divorced her legally, but goes ahead to marry a second wife also in court. Even if the second wife is his legal wife, the fact that the first wife has not be legally divorced, then this second marriage is automatically illegal.

If u go and buy land and pay to someone that's not the owner of the land. When the owner comes u know what will happen now.

I had a case with one of my drivers one time, he had money problems with someone and the person came and collected the car thinking it was his car and took it to police station. Police say until he pays the money they can't give him the car.

What do u think I did when I heard that kind of story. Trust me na, I went to the station straight with my own lawyer and my documents, demanded to see DPO, DPO call IPO, IPO call complainer and driver. As soon as driver told DPO it's true it's my car not his, plus documents to back up the claim he didn't hesitate to ask them to give me the keys to my car. That since the car is not his own, they don't have right to detain it.

U can't get retraining order for a matter like this.
Offcourse we are in Nigeria and anything can happen and like I said, if CIG can collect the cars from LASG and all the Directors, Commissioners and big Lagos politicians that collected the cars then it's not drivers union that will stand in their way.

When that lagride came, some drivers were already pissing in their pants that it would ground Uber/Bolt/Indrive.
But with my little understanding of e-hailing as at then, I made a stand that lagride would never succeed.
I talk am here that time nah.

I just feel for those who had been paying already, anything government like this, na fraud.
I have no single trust in this government.

Scheduled Ride

Please I need someone to fully explain this scheduled ride thing on Bolt to me.

I started Bolt driving in Lagos just last week. So last night, I was moving around the app and saw an option for scheduled rides. I clicked and saw there was one for today at 7:30am. I accepted the request. I now saw that I have to be online 45 minutes before the ride, which is 6:45am. I woke up early, went to buy fuel, and parked outside my house by 6:30am. When I checked the place the scheduled ride was on the app, that particular ride I had earlier confirmed had disappeared. I was disappointed.

I saw another one again for 9am this morning. I clicked on it, and confirmed/booked it down, but when I checked at 8:15 it had disappeared again.

Is there anyone here that uses this feature? Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

I have no proper understanding of how it works, I don't use it but there was a time I got scheduled request ringing as normal request on my phone.

I think when someone that accepted it in advance missed it, they will send out the request to nearby driver, that must have happened in your case.

not everyone is aware of the speed camera or the enforcement yet, by the time VIO stops them or they want to renew their papers, that's when they will know...

Okay. Thanks. So in essence, we get 70% of what riders pay, since Bolt takes 25% cut, and then this 5% booking fee. It is well.
