The moment I discovered that our defense always struggles to score goals like the strikers, I gave up on the team. Go watch our recent games, you'll see that Troost Ekong and Calvin Bassey are always struggling to score as if they were strikers. While it's a collective effort, it's a highly division by labor and specialization thing. You remember that topic in secondary school right? That's football. You play your role and I play mind. Once you want to overlap, then we are all going to fail. Defenders primary responsibility is to defend, but in our own case, they want to score.

If we only have players with the passion and commitment this guy has. We wouldn't be here.

The best thing to do now is to learn from this draw and become the unbeatable team like the Argentine squad.

I believe if we can sit down go to the drawing board, this team can be the best with few changes in the team.

Football is not mathematics, anything can happen along the way to the 2026 world cup.

Most of the players earn more than the coach, and the coach Milan also be collecting tips from them. This may make it difficult to really control them. A no nonsense coach is what Nigeria needs. Not one who can be influenced by money to feature players.
Nigeria needs a coach who can be mean to ask players not to dye their hairs, if they want to be in the team. Discipline is needed!

They suddenly woke up from their slumber when the Zim team equalized at 90+1 minutes with 3 minutes added time remaining.

Osimen was visibly weak and tired. He really pushed himself so hard to score, and it paid off, only for those lacklustre players to squander the lead with their careless and lazy football.

At least Osimhen tried to win the game for his country, but what the other players are doing is like they are playing for money, who lost the match against Zimb in the most important tournament of football. This team needs to be woken up or they will be knocked out from the World Cup.

I saw the video, it was clearly for sensationalism, he knows the cameras would catch it, he kept raising his hand in flair, Osimhen is too fond of blaming other players, that is not sportsmanship, ruining relationships in teams. I even saw one of them following him and trying to explain to him, that one is such a pussy, it looked like boniface in the video but I’m not sure, because boniface doesn’t really move like a pussy trying to beg a star to be on the team. The same Osimhen missed a whole lot of chances too. The only problem with super eagles is the politics, why players like chukwueze and Iwobi dey play for Super eagles after their constant struggles to perform. There is no implementation of local players within Nigeria, discover new stars in the country and bring them on board, That team doesn’t reflect the best in Nigeria, they are simply the most privileged.

In this age and time, how on earth would you start a match with just two midfielders, when you are not a goal or some goals down?

The gamble eventual paid off for you, you couldn't still defend your advantage lead at that 'dying moments'. You had to make two like-for-like changes by removing Iwobi for Onyedika and Osimhen for Boniface, instead of removing Osimhen for a defender or midfielder, and removing Moses Simon for Onyedika, and playing two DMs (Onyedika and Ndidi), while leaving Iwobi to play behind the strikers.

This is a simple tactical substitution he could have done

If you really watch that match, you would see that the goal was a very tactical one, the player kicked with the tip of his leg, if he had used either of his sides of his leg to play the ball, the keeper would have dictated the direction of the shot, but he used the tip, the goal post was on full display there, you could play left or right and get a goal, that goal was a tactical one, if you look at it clearly, the moment the defender lost the ball, it would take luck to catch that ball, even the best of keepers lose penalties talkless of a shot taken from that distance. Can someone please brief me on Lookman’s performance overall? I only watched highlights, nobody in any media has talked about lookman’s performance so far.

He has every right to be. His teammates let him down. If he was still on the pitch he would have been dishing out encouragement, instructions and appeals to these guys, apart from following it up with all out efforts. Aina tried, Ekong is off form, Ndidi's form seems to have plateau at average, Moses Simon and Chukwueze should no longer be invited, Lookman was almost anonymous. These are just some of the outcomes of that match as far as I am concerned.

Wilfred Ndidi and Troost Ekong are no longer fit to play in the national team. Especially Ndidi, he threw away a golden opportunity to score... 🤦🏾‍♂️

Chukwueze and Iwobi should also not play more than 45 minutes, those boys don't have energy for African football. I believe we need to mix our squad with local players from clubs, boys that have local mentality and raw strength, not all these ones that eat oyinbo food daily.
