We think 1914 amalgamation was a forced marriage? Nooo it was just a forced sharing of contact between possible suitors, this is the real forced marriage my people.

The person sponsoring this bill is surprisingly from the region where a dangerous bill like this should be resisted by all means. Fulanis already targeting eastern villages and attacking people. If this bill scaled through today they will boldly claim all the lands they have been using as grazing routes for their cows in the east. Yes SW too will have issue but they won't be the biggest victim of this bill.

SS and SW should brace up if this bill passes through because many people from one side will start migrating and settling in both regions so as to become citizens.

are you afraid of travelling? Little wonder you're monotonous.

Tinibu will never sign this one because of his cash cow lagos state igbos will just automatically take over lagos which will even turn into an ethnic war.

It is a bill that shouldn't have been consider in the first place, the target of the bill sponsors and its apologists is Lagos. It means all other ethnic groups that have been in Lagos for long would automatically become indigenes.

It is an attempt to turn Lagos to no man's land and subsequently create serious crisis or civil war in future.

You must be sick to think that until you have properties that you can defend what you believe in. Well, it's just a mere legislative exercise. The same way Igbo transferred over 200k voters card to Lagos in order to win election for Chinedu.

It doesn't matter sir, Nigeria is a very diverse interogeneuous society with a well recognised indigenous people that have something in common.

You don't expect a total stranger to one day come out and attempt to lead them in the name of claiming indigine after living there for a certain period of time without causing a bloody crisis within the same society.

There are thing we the present generation need to avoid to ease off problems for future one. It would've made sense if the bill is focus on a situation where all Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo will become indigenes within every state that is primarily occupied by their fellow ethnics.

Except we are pretending not to know, you and I know that the purpose of the bill is to make Lagos a no man's land and nothing else.

Accept which Fulani, don't worry Igbos would see to that grin

As for Lagos? Finally it would become no man's Land.

Let me see the idiot that would tell an indigen to go back to his state.

I'm surprised you did not shout Jagaban on this bill like you've shouted for others
I thought Tinubu was the one behind all the bills trying to restructure Nigeria
This bill will even favour Tinubu since he's reputed to be from Osun but suddenly you want senate to help you kill it
So senate will not kill the other bills like those converting Lagos' illegal LCDAs to LGs abi

Stop advertising your ignorance laced with bigotry
Kalu is the chairman of the House committee on constitution amendment. His committee also presented bills to increase Lagos LGs by converting the illegal LCDAs. Same with the bill to remove immunity from govs and VPs. You folks hailed those bills and attributed them to Jagaban. How come this one now you suddenly remember the guy is from SE?
That's what bigotry does to you. It makes you lose your common sense
Anyways, all the bills will still have to go to all the 36 Asssemblies and 24 must approve them before they can be presented for signing
So don't hit your head on the floor for nothing yet

Hell no! Recipe for disaster. Being from a place is more than just residence for 10 years. Leave it the way it is. Useless copy and paste has never helped this country. This is not a country of immigrants.
