Off topic, I have been watching classic Super Eagles highlights and just remembered one Nairalander Andrew Uweh and this topic he created. Many people don't know it's the same Andrew Uwe that represented Super Eagles from 1988-1990 including at Algiers 1990 and Seoul 88. That was why he left out Westerhoff from his top 10 Super Eagles coaches cos he waffed him from Super Eagles grin

He was also one of the leaders of the Ndigbo tribal crew back then

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Uwe

In those days on Nairaland, you could meet anyone here. Remember we used to chat with AIG Imuokhodes son here on Sports Section.

Is there a separate list for Super Eagles coaches?

List would probably not have changed much since 2010, exception would probably be Keshi moving to top of the list.

What was AIG Imokhuedes sons moniker? You know Reno Omokri, Fani Kayode etc used to post on Nairaland too in the build up to 2015 elections

I didn't know that AndrewUweh was the real one?I don yab am a few times before

Andrew Uwe I remember he was part of our team to Maroc 88, him Dahiru Sadi and Samson Siasia changed their ages which led to a 2yr ban for Nigeria between 1990 and 1992

Uwe played Maroc 88 and Algiers 90 as one of the 3 foreign based players(Uwe, Elahor and Yekini) invited by Westerhof for his first tournament

I agree it's embarrassing trying to compare Tinubu who was acknowledged as the best among his peers to a failure like Peter Obi with zero achievements in government beyond investing govt money in his private company which is worth next to nothing now
Whenever you want to describe the president's performance you don't have to bring up comparison with 'what Peter Obi could have done' it's a shameless attitude that suggests a guilty conscience about who should have been the better option

It's like a man always conparing his dick with his wife's ex every time they finish having sex. One day she may begin nursing the idea of actually trying it out especially knowing how poor he is in bed.

I agree with you. We can't be comparing Tinubu to a serial failure like Obi

We all know what Obi would have done, we saw it in Anambra when he was governor and it earned him curses from the people he governed

When we are talking about presidential materials we should pls exclude Obi

An Ok. Yes, could have just sufficed.

But Obi's name keeps salivating from your mouth like a persistent mouth odor. The plague won't just go away would it? 😂

Oh wow!

FFK normally na fresh kid right from time. His Grandpa finished high school in 1917 in the UK and then give birth to FFK father in 1921 in the same UK...

No wonder FFK could bag all the b*tches from a young age in naija. He dey always cap about Bianca Ojukwu because na only him know the kind rep he get that time among top tier naija high society ladies ; he was royalty in his days.

The only blemish wey FFK get as he dey grow old is that he was unable to transition to become a functional and reasonable adult in an African society. He was still stuck in that age of when he was an elite and the rest of the people he engaged on a daily basis were peasants.

I think i have mentioned it here before.

Both his grandfather and father schooled at Cambridge, as did his elder brother. Even his great-grandfather had an MA degree.

The amount of genetic intellect that the guy wasted is incredible. Imagine a 60yr Nigerian whose family for 2-3 generations before him had been studying at the top universities in the UK.

P.S You missed it. The only positive is his privileged background. Almost everything else is a blemish.

WORD!

If anything, FFK should be regarded as one of the best foreign trained lawyers we ever had in this country going by his privileged background. unfortunately he wasted everything and became a source of amusement to even the kids of the people he regarded as peasants while he was growing up.

I agree with u that he wasted all the positives that comes from his privileged background.

It is indeed unfortunate. Sometimes I don't know whether some of his embarrassing takes on issues is from a place of mental illness or him having issues with drug use in the past.

FFKs character and lack of morals led him where he is today. The man is clearly an intelligent guy, but I guess too much flexing put him in one too many sticky situations and before you know it he's who he is today.

There was an old school interview of FFK when he was in his late 20s or so, the guy showed so much promise and drive, that you'd start to wonder where exactly it went wrong with him...I really see no reason why FFk couldn't have gone on to be one of the greatest states men in Nigeria's history.

Maybe Cuppy won't do anything noteworthy, with all that money, most of us would enjoy life like she does, but she'd always be alright, and not crash out the way FFk did. Bad as e bad she retires to a more quiet life at some point...she seems to be doing that already sef.
