The coaches lacks tactics.I remember Westerhoff used only Sunday Oliseh in the middle during WC instructing Siasia, Amunike and Finidi to support Oliseh if we are losing possession and it works.

I think we are arrogant believing we can override smaller countries using formations that we lack players to execute it,now am beginning to understand Peseiro style of play during Afcon, prior to Afcon he was finding it difficult to get results reason why he drew Zimbabwe and Lesotho....He realized he lacked possessive midfielders and only way out is to have 3 man defenders with 5 players in the middle supporting the attack and defence
.

Well said 💯 I couldn’t have put this better!

Egbon dem still cry that year oo especially for Garba Lawal who wasn't flashy but still delivered.

Too much agenda when it comes to making what should be straight forward logical arguments.

Kog45:
That thought get as ebi o my brother....having Alhassan and Sadiq na the issue but nobody cried having Tijani and Garba Lawal then and I remember only Teslim Fatusi made Japan 93 team from SW but who care, result be Koko.

Learned guys are losing their sanities just cuz of tribalism, reading meaning to things in tribal lines.

Well,I want Onyeka and Uche Christanus in the next list.

Can we all give Chelle a break
He will experiment in June during the friendlies
He should be properly judged from September

If the reports of us playing 3 friendlies in June is the, then I hope he will invite a large pool of players.. The question is: will he invite quality players or will the NFF use it as an avenue to market more home based players?

I think Ndidi, Iheanacho & Awoniyi have lost their legs
That set appear to not be really sharp physically anymore
What do you guys think ?

I never thought it would come to a day when Nigeria would be afraid of SA when it’s sports related grin
Poor administration & corruption lingers everywhere in Nigeria grin
Last time we beat them in 90 minutes was 2019
They have improved ever since
The fear of SA is réal these days grin

Ndidi.. yeah. Iheanacho needs a kick up the butt..him being dropped has obviously sent a message, he did a lot of physical training during the break. Awoniyi has lost form due to injury layoff but should be back stronger next season.

Chelle does not need to invite his first team. He should use mostly players from the second batch of the 39 man list.

He needs to pray hard & force his way back to Forest’s starting line up by September
Else no AFCON for him maybe
Awoniyi needs a goal or assist to motivate him imo

Forget banter SA are no longer the team you could just wake up and rollover.

Mentally they are tough and are desperate to get one over us after so many painful defeats.

Remember they beat a solid Moroccan side in the last AFCON so they are far from being softies.

I just feel once we get our player selection and tactics we will still be slightly better than them but it will definitely be a battle.

Winning CAF champions league in recent times ain’t no joke I guess
I wonder when next we’d be able to do such
Just like Wydad Casablanca & Mamelodi Sundowns grin
Maybe they’d have to beg Alex Otti & Orji Uzor Kalu to wake up sleeping giant Enyimba with funds lol
Please remember that Sundowns are going to gain world class exposure/experience when they participate in the FIFA world club cup in the summer
They won’t go far but that could be a fantastic prep for some of their players before they face us
World class exposure to the best players on earth
Goodluck Eagles grin
I hope we’d be Super against them
In your words SLIGHTLY grin

The friendlies will afford him the opportunity to work more with the team and perfect his tactics... It's advisable that he invites the core members of the team...
But of course, they don't need to play every minute... We don't want the September games to be used for another round of experiment

eh. The fear, while valid, is overrated in my opinion. They were completely outplayed by finidi's super eagles the last time we played. 15 shots against their 8. 5 shots on target to their 4. We had more passes, possession and the only areas they bested us in that match was in the number of fouls committed and yellow cards. If not for the team's insane addiction to losing free goals we are already meant to be debating on the new people to add to the world cup squad. In fact the only match the opponents had more chances to score than us throughout this qualifiers was the benin match we lost 2-1.

You de project una intestinal fickleness on the whole Nigeria?

Who and who de fear SA? Is it the referee robbery in Rohr days or their escape through Alhassan's rush of blood or our striker's profligacy under Finidi?

Make una take time o

Richard Owubokiri was writing WAEC while he played for Sharks back in the days. Henry Nwosu and Stephen Keshi were drafted right after their secondary schools into the national team. Adokie also started very young.
Also there was à popular music band in the 70s called Ofege who were all St Gregory students. Yes we have had âgé cheating but it's not totally out of place.

🚨Victor Osimhen's representatives have informed Saudi League clubs that he wants to play in the Premier League next season.

The reports also adds that he'd be willing to join Manchester United even if they don't qualify for the Champions League. [@TBRFootball via @UtdXclusive]

It was the team collectivity cuz a well laid free kick from Lookman and also Chuckwueze little effort for the second goal.... against Zimbabwe it was yeoman assist from Aina....let us not put Osimhen in Rashidi Yekini situation

Remember Ekong said eagles is not only about Osimhen, very heavy statement.

We need to appreciate them together, though Osimhen is the main man

Baba, as heavy as that statement was he couldn't prove that he was far more important than Osimhen against Zim as d attacker waltz through him, but is it right to say he was jealous, feeling inferior as Osimhen's name was on everybody lips after Rwanda match or he was just playing down Osimhen importance so dat other players won't be jealous?

Samson Siasia didn't make Mexican 83 due to WAEC exams when he was in St.Finbaars but made Moscow 85.....I remember watching Nduka Ugbade,Victor Igbinoba,Dimeji Lawal, Lucky Agbosibavre,Fatai Atere during Kwara 85 sports festival....In the 80s we got them from YSFON,Manuwa Adebanjo cup and Principal cup.....but Japan 93 team started the influx of league players into under 17.
