CRISIS IN WIKE'S CAMP: DISARRAY, LEAKED VIDEO, AND A STRUGGLE FOR LEADERSHIP. The once-unshakable political fortress of Nyesom Wike is now showing deep cracks as confusion and division grip his loyalists. The latest fiasco surrounding the poorly scripted press release by former Rivers State Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, has sparked internal resentment, with many questioning the competence of those handling the faction’s media and public relations. As if that were not enough, a leaked video of Hon. Kelechi Nwogu's voice has further exposed the disorder within Wike’s camp, leaving some allies disillusioned and others scrambling as the world now understands the press release against Governor Fubara has caused more damage as they are trying to rebuild the faith of Mr President. A Press Release That Backfired: The press release by Dr. George Nwaeke, instead of strengthening the camp’s position, has become an embarrassment. Insiders are blaming those responsible for drafting and approving the statement, arguing that it lacked coherence, failed to control the narrative, and ultimately did more harm than good as it's obvious that their alleged accusations against Governor Fubara will not yield the desire results. "If this is how they want to fight Governor Sim Fubara, then they have already lost the battle," an insider lamented, highlighting the frustration brewing within the ranks. Another political analyst, speaking anonymously, noted: "A political movement without strategic communication is like a ship without a captain—it is bound to sink." The backlash from Wike’s allies has been swift, with accusations of incompetence and miscalculation flying in all directions. Kelechi Nwogu’s Leaked Video: A Scandal Too Many? As tensions rise, a leaked video of Hon. Kelechi Nwogu has only worsened the situation. While the exact content of the video remains the subject of speculation, its impact has been devastating. For many within the camp, this is a sign that loyalty is eroding, and the once well-coordinated faction is now falling apart under the weight of its own contradictions. A political observer commented: "These leaks are not random. They are internal betrayals. When a political house begins to crumble, secrets start slipping out. This is exactly what we are witnessing in Wike’s camp." The Leadership Void: Who Will Take Over? Perhaps the most troubling development for Wike’s loyalists is the growing uncertainty over leadership. With Wike’s noticeable absence, questions are being raised about his continued relevance as the undisputed leader of the faction. Some are beginning to ask the unthinkable: Is Wike no longer the demigod they once worshipped? A senior political analyst observed: "Power is not given; it is taken. Without a strong and visible leader, Wike’s camp is now directionless. And in politics, when there is no clear leader, factions emerge, and chaos follows." Already, whispers of internal competition are growing. Who will take charge? Who will be the new rallying figure? These are the questions haunting Wike’s loyalists, many of whom are beginning to consider alternative political alignments. A former Wike associate, speaking under anonymity, said: "Wike built his political empire on absolute control. Now that control is slipping, and his camp is struggling to stay united. Many are already looking for a way out." The unfolding drama in Wike’s camp is a testament to the fragility of power when built on fear and control rather than genuine loyalty. The cracks are widening, and without strong leadership, the faction risks imploding. Governor Siminalayi Fubara, on the other hand, remains firmly in control of Rivers State even as he is on presidential suspension that is not known to our constitution, enjoying the support of the people. As Wike’s camp battles internal divisions, Governor Fubara is consolidating power, proving that true leadership is about governance, not coercion. "When a king loses his grip, his followers will look for a new throne. That is exactly what is happening now," a political insider summed up. In the end, Rivers politics is shifting. The old guard is falling apart, and a new political reality is taking shape. ~ Aliyu Usman. 19 Likes 3 Shares

Politicstoday:Las las at last u will wail as usual, that The Supreme Court of Nigeria is in Tinubu & Wike’s pocket, no hope for the common man the judiciary is compromised. Maybe @ last, dey Tinubu & Wike will strike a deal with the idiot to stop his humiliation, resign & avoid prosecution, whether u resign or not, u are never going to sleep in Government House again. Just go & beg the powers that be, so the Judas can go back to his village, & enjoy his early retirement. Lesson for the Mumu obidients that encouraged this Judas to his downfall, never ever bite the hand that made u King. Even Jesus Christ our Lord & Personal Savior admonished us, “ Give unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar”. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

loffyloffy:What he thought he was avoiding by bombing the House of Assembly, was waiting for him in front. He is gone forever, he only dug a deeper hole buying time for himself by going to spend money appropriated by only 4 House of Assembly members, an illegality which is an impeachable offense. As is, he stands impeached, The Supreme Court of Nigeria has already ruled against him last month, that Governor Fubara’s act in burning down the house of assembly to avoid impeachment is criminal in nature. The Mumu is the height of foolishness of power corrupts. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

cenaman:This is the kind of incoherent nonsense mindset that lead to the stupid man’s downfall, who should question Wike’? Even if it was a setup, your head of service working directly with u, said u are the one that did it, Which The Supreme Court of Nigeria said also, u imagine that The Nigerian Police will look elsewhere abi, when they are out all working together to destroy Fubara? Abi are u not in Nigeria, we warned Fubara that he is playing with Fire, the mumus encouraged him, it is not even 2 weeks he is out of power, all this accusations are already out. Government house is with all the files, and has not said anything yet, this is a governor that spent budget money illegally passed as affirmed by The Supreme Court of Nigeria, that issue is still in front? Fubara has been a dead man walking for a very longtime now & counting. Unfortunately now he is lying exposed naked in the arms of his enemies. The Court is going to be asked in April, if a suspended Governor has immunity from criminal prosecution. 15 Likes 1 Share |

loffyloffy:Someone made a strong allegation against the Speaker. You should be calling for investigation into the allegation than asking biased question. Read your first question again and ask yourself if Wike has benefited from that or not, whether or not his camp is responsible. Let's not support blindly. 7 Likes |

Politicstoday: This is that kind of story a child will say....."daddy you can lie oOoOO" !!!! If this allegation were true why didn't Gov. Fubara include it in it's investigations when he instituted a committee for the violence that took place when some of the LGAC buildings were destroyed? Many persons even called his attention to include it and why didn't his Chief of Staff tell his boss about it then? Instead of them to just keep quiet and find a way to resolve the issues he is coming out to say what is not. Those who claimed that Minister Wike slumped and have been rushed to France because he was not in attendance at the reception venue of PBAT.... We are a strange country. This same Edison that was hiding in the government house when declared wanted because of this issue. Why didn't he utter this gibberish then. So the person going for an anonymous crime will be so stupid to go in convoy? By the way if the intention of the demolition was to rebuild a better structure as being claimed, then why did they not notify the users ahead of time for proper housekeeping before the exercise . Records and office equipments were destroyed along. 9 Likes 2 Shares |
