Wrestling like other sports should have on site medical team. Before fight and after fight medical checkup is mandatory. Paramedics should be on standby during fight.
He shouldnt have been cleared for any fight if he has any health condition.
When he slumped, the paramedics should have sworn into action.
The referee should have even did mouth to mouth. Referees are trained on emergency resuscitation. All referees did public health in school and continously undergoes training on health annually. U just don't become a referee out of the blue. Outside Africa, he is a toast and might be sued and jailed by the family.
Finally, this is Africa where money is more important than health

500 dollars? See how cheap life has become.

May His soul find rest and may God grant his family the strength to bear the loss

He is even lucky.

Before GoTV came on board, fighters in Nigerian events were being paid as low as N30,000.

At this point no body would want to take the blame. They'll smartly shit it to the dead because he can't say his own side of the story. This is one of the way people in authority manipulate their subordinates for their selfish gain and when things goess wrong they smartly shit blame to the victim. The only risk you should take wholeheartedly is when you are the sole owner of your business, take a calculated one if you have a boss. Be wise.

Shouldn't it be a crime to let someone from Nigeria in this Tinubu era to get into an international fighting competition?
Not when folks are managing 0-1-0 meal routine. If truly he was in debt, imagine what his feeding routine
would have been leading up to the fight.
