Okay, but I already paid once at the bank. It was because I didn’t see any appointment portal a day after paying that led to me having duplicate accounts as I was trying different things.

I even see it now that my bank payment was successfully done but still can’t view the appointment page.

If you say card payment is better , why can’t I just for it? I can give you my number so you can help with the profile thing but not sure what other hell than to delete pending request , if that will work. Thanks!!

If you are not in a haste all your payment or profile issues can be sorted out but if you think you don't have time and want to make it snappy it's okay.

All payment options are better but card payment is the fastest. If you pay successfully today you can be granted calendar view in few hours . If you are absolutely sure of your card effectiveness okay you can go ahead.

For the new profile to initiate the payment yes i can handle that. Good LucK.

When it comes to American embassy, never be in a haste so you don't fall into the wrong hands. Meanwhile the possibility of getting a date in three weeks time is very very very slim. Except you will try the emergency route. I'm not sure conference falls under this category. All the best.

Keep the faith. Keep checking mostly weekends. Mine expired April 8th 2024, saw no dates for IW in Abuja and Lagos. On a Wednesday, lagos dates for 18th till May were released, still no Abuja dates and 18th won't have worked as I would no longer be qualified. I prayed oh, I prayed hard and last week, late Sunday, I saw dates for Abuja. First date there was 8th of April and I quickly booked. So keep checking

Hello house,

Please I have a follow up question, for those that have recently successfully completed the interview waiver Dropbox process.

Do I have to schedule another document drop-off appointment via the OIS website? I recall that on the AVITS website, I picked the free drop off option (in Lagos ) for my mum.
Now, I see another separate appointment automatically scheduled for the day BEFORE the actual date that I picked. Will this be the date to go drop off documents at the OIS office in Lagos or do I have to schedule this separately?

Looking forward to your insight!, Thanks all.

Hello Good day everyone,

Please is it ok to pick an Abuja interview date when i had selected Lagos while completing my form and prior to inputting my receipt number?

Good Day.

It is not okay (because you are deliberately breaking the rules) but it is permissible (in the sense that you will still be interviewed ) providing that you are with AVITS appointment letter.

You will however pay the price as a negligence or dishonest visa applicant (when the interviewing officer is looking for a tiny excuse to deny you).

Those who can easily go away with such antics are those on medical emergencies. Good LucK

If you have scheduled a dropoff date on avits...then go to ois and schedule another dropoff date...on same date.
The avits date is superior and usually what they check inside the ois office..but the security at the gate check for ois ..to avoid any wahala..simply book ois date to match ur avits...time isnt important, just date

Hi Nora99. Your business does not have to be registered before you can secure a B2 visa . You can be a petty trader in a local market or a woman with established supermarkets.

Any of the above, what you need to prove to the US consular is the genuineness of the sources of money and availability of such money to cover your trip.

Another thing to prove to the consular is genuine reason / purpose of travel. Must you attend the graduation? Are you representing your family ? Or you are the MC on the day of the ceremony?

You also have to proof ties. Why should the consular trust you that you will return back to Nigeria ? Do you have husband, and kids who re attending schools ? Do you have a million naira project you are presently doing on your photography? Have you spent more than 2 weeks outside of Africa and return before ? Etc.

Lastly, majority of applicants qualified for visas but they lacked communication skills.. If you cannot express yourself well in the presence of the consular he/she will summon to the next applicant. Good LucK.

Please is there a way to redownload my old DS 160 form on the Avits site. The last one I filled was on the old site, Is there a way for me to have access to the old one, My system misbehaved so I lost the one I saved. Also, how do I get access to the Ds 160 for me to refill since the old one is more than 6 months?

Hello Kungfu.
You can only retrived the confirmation page of an already submitted ds-160. Since you said it's more than 6- months then you can fill a new one.

Fill another one here ;
https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

After that go and update it in your AVITS profile . Ciao.

I need someone to kindly explain to me the necessary steps to take after filling DS-160 and paying application fee. What I'm mostly confused about is OIS. I read something about dropping passport with OIS..i just need clarity on what exactly the OIS is for and at what point are they needed in this whole process.

Help a confused person. Thanks.

If your interview is a physical one, then you’re not dropping your passport with OIS, you will only need it when your visa is approved, you’d use this website; https://appointment.oisservices.com/ to track your passport and schedule an appointment to pick it up.

If your interview is Dropbox, then you’d need to book an appointment for drop off using the above website, the date you pick on OIS has to tally with your AVITS one, then when the appointment date comes, you go to the location you picked and drop off your passport.

What are my chances of getting the visa?Or what do I do to increase my likelihood of getting a visa. How much should I have in my account for B2 visa? I'm a case where I don't have strong ties and it's just my photography and sports what happens then?

Please anyone knows how I can upload supporting documents into ceac.state.gov. I read recent changes that one can now upload supporting documents. But I have not seen where I can do that. I have just completed my form DS-160 but yet to submit it.

Can someone help me with how to get in touch with OIS service? from their site my parent passport is ready for pick up at 14 Idowu Taylor St, Victoria Island, Lagos 101241, Lagos. but i made a booking with payments for pick up at DHL office Akure, the appointment day was a public holiday, however a day after my parent went to the dhl office they were told that they have not received the passport. i want online to track the passport with the tracking number on the receipt but it is showing invalid tracking id. I need urgent help as my parent trip has been booked immediately after visa approval. I called their office number i found online, it appears the number is not working +2348033889215. i already booked the flight ticket

They are mainly interested in your home ties. They want to ensure you come back after the event. The money in your account doesn't matter. Meanwhile who is sponsoring your trip?

Hello.
You are not uploading any supporting documents into AVITS except in the case you want to create a ticket and attach error evidence.
All you need to register and book appointment on avits is your bio data, mrv payment, and ds-160 confirmation number . Well, maybe you are refering to immigrant visa application where you can track your case on ceac.state.gov.

Hello.
Your parent's passport is enroute (DHL Akure). They have to sort the passport out, register it and assign it to a delivery van.
You should not expect it very quickly except you have paid for express delivery. Good Luck.

Hello.
Yes, that is if the person indicated in your ds-160 as the sponsor is dead, incarcerated, hospitalised or doesn't have access to his or her fund or the person just backed out unexpectedly due to unforeseen circumstances. However, you have to provide solid evidence for such sudden change of POF. Ciao.

How were you able to get an email to reschedule, my mom got 221g for her IW since October and until this moment we are yet to reschedule! Is there a number she should call?
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Donde: 7:42pm
diabolo:

No worries just check for the passport pick up with OIS and you see the outcome of the application.

Checking passport pickup on OIS website indicates the passport is not ready for pickup, which appears strange for an interview that took place on February 27. The passport is needed for a trip in about 3 weeks and I’d appreciate if anyone has/can share insights on how I can retrieve the passport.
