Now that is it clear to us that northerners get more federal government appointments than Southerners or South West in particular under Tinubu, the idea of juicy post still persist.

Let's make it clear that there's no federal government political appointments without juice. The only difference is that some have easy access and closer to the president than others. And the reason why the heads of state and the presidents have been appointing trusted and close allies to key post after 1966 was the history of coup de tat.

After 1966 coup, politicians learnt that familiar people must be appointed into key positions.

Aguiyi Irosi was Igbo, Tafawa Balewa was Hausa/Fulanis. The January 1966 coup succeeded because the Commander in Chief and the military head belongs to different ethnic groups. Even if Aguiyi Ironsi was not part of the coup, he could have perceived it and defended the Prime minister at all cost. But it appeared he chose to be complacent and allowed it to take place.

Ever since, Nigeria heads of state and presidents have been appointing close allies to key positions. Tinubu appointments is no different. It is as a result of bitter lessons of January 15 1966 coup.

Consider this: the combined representation of the South-South and South-East regions is 23%, whereas the South-West comprises 22% on its own. This raises important questions about the principle of federal character in the current governance. We need to strive for a truly united Nigeria that reflects the diversity of all its regions. We must get it right if Nigeria will work again.

Election also played important role. Tinubu didn't secure significant vote in South East states.

Whenever I remember how some naive ones mocked Yorubas during GEJ's tenure when Yoruba elders met with GEJ to complain about marginalization of Yorubas, I laugh.. the mof0s back then said we should go and ask Tinubu for appointments and shut the fvck up. As God will have it or should I say as God would rise in defence of Yorubas, the same Tinubu is now President and heeding our voices.
The mof0s are the ones crying today.

I keep telling people that Yorubas can not be isolated in Nigerian politics except they are successfully divided.

Jonathan isolated the Yorubas after helping him to win in 2011 but he saw the consequence in 2015.

Buhari was using Ibos as VP ever since he has been contesting but luckily when he used Yoruba as VP in his 3rd and finally 4th attempt he made it.
