Take the emotional outbursts, faux outrage and rehearsed pandering reactions of most Nigerians on the internet seriously at your own peril. The same Nigerians who trended hashtags asking for Naira Marley's head for his complicity in Mohbad's demise? The same Nigerians who impulsively 'canceled' him? The same Nigerians demanding his wife gets a DNA test or the heavens will fall? The same Nigerians who went back to grooving to Naira Marley's songs and taking him to the top of the charts? The same Nigerians who throng the deceased wife's Instagram page to celebrate her? The same Nigerians who reacted with righteous indignation when a State Accountant-General embezzled #429 billion in 2022 but took the side of the looter in his fight against his looting honcho since last year till date? Outbursts by Nigerians hold as much as baskets of water. We are fickle on social issues to politics to other aspects of our national life. Worse even are those who sit in front of ringlights analysing. It's not about the issues - it's about them. Improving their social capital by stringing along the fleeting virtual gatherings of mobs whose investments in the topical issues argued run as deep as oil droplets on water. It's about the digital engagement metrics. If it's trending, they'd jump on it to lead on the herd. ...until a juicer trending controversy takes shape. Take the emotional outbursts of Nigerians seriously at your own risk of disappointment. A year from now, that man would post his pre-wedding pictures with his new girlfriend and they'd congratulate him. Just as one of the activists who got exposed for getting #2 million bribe from the government weathered the curses and cancel culture and he's now an ambassador of integrity. No Nigerian that is not your blood who earns money through a means would let you in on how he makes money, He would rather use all his time trying to make that money, except you are his means of making money. Ever since I saw this qoute in 2019 or there about, it has been helping me a great deal. Nigerians are greedy by default You only heard of this ponzi scheme on social media because it was about to crash. When this colleague of mine was pestering me to join Cbex, I asked him, Why are you so interested in me joining, What is in it for you? He told me percentage returns increase with the more referrals you get and bla bla Immediately I just knew it was a ponzi scheme. Anything that needs you to draw referals is a red flag. Their rules self are meant to get you greedy. The bigger your account the bigger the percentage returns hence ensuring you dont withdraw i.e 2% of balance as returns daily. I declined joining The guy de look me like say I like poverty Now his $1000 dollars don follow water Two of our female colleagues wey him carry their $300 join de hook am for neck 2 Likes |

Amoto94: I must have missed this but searching for a comment today, I happened on it. It's not because your brother is a Muslim - it's because he's not from the SS (and Akwa Ibom in this case). The Ikot Abasi Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone (OGFTZ) was formed in 2021. It covers Akwa Ibom. Then there's Onne OGFTZ for Rivers, amongst others. In 2022, a law was made designating 60 percent of all jobs in OGFTZs to host communities. And there's a special court set up to resolve such issues - the Oil and Gas ADR. If your brother had gotten the job, you'd have unwittingly exposed him as the IOC would have to prove there's nobody from Akwa Ibom competent enough to fill the position your brother got offered. A few companies are certainly flouting this law quietly but anecdotes like yours would unwittingly provide the evidence or lead we need to nail them legally. |

OasisX, I told these people Niger Delta Governors are working for Tinubu but some thought I was bluffing. Akwa Ibom Governor declares Tinubu will spend 8 years in Office. https://www.nairaland.com/8399335/tinubu-complete-8-years-office Like I also mentioned, Obi/LP's chief canvasser during the last elections and is currently still fronting the Obidient Movement in the state got a luxury car gift recently and has already been co-opted by the State Governor. BlueRayDick:during the heat of our land tussle with some of my extended uncles, my mom died.. almost everyone in the village said it was those uncles we were tussling land with that killed her.. most even telling us to come let's go to a JuJu man and find out and also if possible revenge our own.. I personally shrugged it off 📴 as a mere coincidence and call of nature.. And to make matters worse, my mom wasn't publicly sick.. like people didn't know she was sick, even us her kids, she only complained to us that she was having some hard times sleeping.. So for people eyes, woman weh get her health, just slumped and died like that..so it must be JuJu ..lol.. When the Iranian president died in the heat of the fracas with Israel..some people alleged that it was Israel that shut down his plane while in reality there was fog 🌫️ which affected the airplane 🛫 visibility which was evident for everyone to see..hence causing the crash.. Nature doesn't care about our feelings before taking it's course.. That woman's death was a mere nature's call and have nothing to do with the baby daddy sending her back 🔙.. if it wasnt meant to happen,it wouldn't have happened.. That's nature for you...zero feelings 2 Likes |

OasisX: What's crazy is how Tinubu was able to align with all our governors past and present. 1999 - 2007: Arc. (Obong) Victor Attah; 2007 - 2015: Chief Godswill Akpabio; 2015 to 2023: Dcn. Udom Emmanuel, and; 2023 - : Pst. Umo Eno. - Akpabio has a quiet beef with Arc. Attah because the later didn't anoint him as candidate. - Akpabio and Udom have had a cold war since 2018 when Godswill left the PDP. - Umo Eno embraced Akpabio in spite of Akpabio's beef with Udom. - Udom and Umo Eno defer to Vic. Attah as the eldest stateman. - Umo Eno defers to Akpabio and Udom too. Tinubu was able to make Udom and Akpabio agree for the first time in years. All three are powerful men in their three Senatorial Districts. Everyone (and all politicians) listen to Arc. Attah so he was definitely consulted about this move. It's over, man. APC as an opposition is officially dead in the state. PDP as a contender at the national is dead too at the state level. Backs have been rubbed. I did not see Udom Emmanuel agreeing to this. He's supposed to be a strong Atiku man. Darn!

Ponzi is really simple. Keep N10m as your starting budget outside of your website. Promise to give people 100% of their money in 1 month on your website. All you need is 1 gullible person to register. He is gullible but he's not stupid. So he'll register with very small money he won't miss like N10k. In 30 days, his 10k is now N20k. Give him 10k from your 10 million capital. He withdraws it and in his head he is lucky. So what does he do? He is gullible but he's not stupid as I said so he keeps his first N10k and reinvests the profit he made just to see whether the platform is really paying or he was just lucky. 30 days later his money has doubled. He cannot believe his eyes. This time he goes higher to 50k and after 30 days you give him N100k. You still have excess liquidity. No fear. Meanwhile he has discovered an infinite money glitch and puts in 200k. This is where you tell him that he stands to make 10% from referrals' deposit. He goes to facebook to post about a new update that has been paying him. He shows screenshots of his deposits and withdrawals. He shows family members and colleagues. They all start with small funds just to test but you have enough liquidity left to cover their withdrawals without any headache. After their first month withdrawals, they really confirm that what the first guy told them was true and that the platform is truly reliable. They have doubled their money and solved pressing family and business issues. Why stop there? It's time to change their car, time to renew their rent, time to pay school fees for the kids. All they have to do is lock money for 30 days and get double of it. The ones that have savings empty it, the ones that don't have will go borrowing from friends. Word keeps spreading and the deposits are pouring in. As time goes on, your initial N10m has depleted but your wallet has over 500 million from people waiting for their 30 days to complete so they can go and ball. That's when you turn off the website and move on with your life and newly ill gotten wealth. Brain Dennis 6 Likes |
