When it comes to buying and selling cars, you need heavenly patience.

Your Corolla 10 if in standard condition, consumes less fuel than the regular Uber Corolla.
Basic maintenance shouldn't be expensive either. Unless it's driven recklessly or badly maintained.
Asides tyres, brakes, suspension, lube service, minor paint jobs, e.t.c What really does our vehicle require?

If your Corolla 10 is tokunbo standard, you can sail with it.
The idea of reselling to buy a lower model is a late decision. Except, your Corolla 10 isn't standard.

If you had come to us before buying the Corolla 10, nobody will advice you to invest such amount when there are several cheap alternatives.

This civic everyone is clamouring for doesn't like abuse oooo.
If it starts to barb your hair, you will think a demon is haunting you cheesy

In fact, most Nigerian-used cars are DOA

Seems you are mixing up Ajibaiye and dreezy007 situation.

The former is in pondering if his Corolla 2010 model is ideal for the hustle and also his situation with his friend. The latter is willing to buy a vehicle but he wants a reliable one within 4-5m range and he is opting for Honda civic.

Note, not all Nigerian used vehicles are DOA, I take care of my vehicles just like I take care of my wife.

I was stopped by police, checked papers. I am using my old plate number on my new car. Which is EXISTING. I have the existing number place registration paper, old proof ownership showing old car. But renewed proof of ownership showing my current car. Now, police said I must have court papers showing I use my old plate on my new car. I was shocked to my anus. grin. After serious arguments about that, took me to their station, which I won't allow ordinarily( I prefer doing normal than drive inside station) but I was interested to get to see their ogas, hoping they will correct him, their own is even worse, we met 3 different boss, all saying same thing.,Eventually, I concluded, I am dealing with Nigeria police. My mistake is, trying to explaining to them and forgot I am dealing with Nigerian police. This is how it has been for years, just get existing number plate paper. They spoke with the person in charge of my paper renewal, that one makes it worse because she was so annoyed hearing such. You can't drag with them, so is either I wait till Tuesday to go customary court and do the the paper(if there is anything like that) or I do normal. I chose the later... Let the rotting continues.
Same police stopped me for old series plate number engraved on my car. Requesting for police report and court affidavit. cheesy
I showed him a valid allocation of plate number showing the old-new plate number details, previous proof of ownership on the old plate number.
I was even ready to show him the old plate numbers sitting in my trunk, but didn't need to drag with the ignorant fellow.

I just asked him if the Nigerian police issue plate numbers now?

Is it my fault that the Fed govt discontinued the old series plate numbers and lured many of us to pay for new series plate numbers.

Last last, I drove off with a smirk on my face.

Nothing to worry about bro..there's a guy on NL here; unikazzy, that does it....If you renew here in Lagos, you have successfully given Lagos your vechicle data which means the camera can now run your plates..

Even here in Lagos, I have renewed my Lagos documents and I didn't collect the original copies, I just print out the scanned copies and I'm good to go...the man kept reminding me to come for it...car wey I don sell since grin
Ooh, that's a good one.

Yes sure
Hyundai accent 06-06 engine is just 600k and that's the only expensive part

Other parts are very pocket friendly and relatively cheaper than the corolla

Besides, it's very rugged, fuel efficient and reliable
Thank you very much sir. I will start sourcing for a good hyundai accent 06

0w20 I wouldn’t mi d to see it picture. GUYS PLEASE HOW TRUE IS THIS advise by my neighbor in the attached screenshots. But I don’t have choice o cos I know the wahala of selling cars.

My only main concern here is the true condition of the vehicle.....

A 2010 is very ok for Uber, since you will be the only driver that will be driving it for Uber.. it is more than super ok ...

I don't think you will drive the car to the point that it will be deterimetal to your well-being or the car. But again for naija only few a normal .... The only issue is your maintenance culture and how good it is...

I use to invest in Uber in the early days.. so am speaking from experience.. 2010 Toyota Corolla is more than ok for Uber

From what I know, when changing ownership or switching plate number of a sold car to a new car, u need Affidavit to back it up.
Your license plug should know this.
Or better still don't carry any linking documents showing the number was formerly used on another car.

Good day my people, I just purchased a Toyota Corolla 2010 model for the purpose of InDrive/Bolt/Uber purposes. I want to drive it myself because am not okay with the comment about giving it out to.

Please am open to an advise on below.

Best time to start and close ( I am always free )
How often should i change the engine oil? ( when using everyday )
My driver Licence is not ready but i have a friend who has, can I use his info to register while I drive the vehicle?

Please advise me! I am open to it. Also tell me anything I might have forgot to ask.

My advice is, take things easy.
Why do you want to impersonate on registration, don't be desperate.
The other fellow advising you on WhatsApp is right.
Bolt/Uber will suck the juice out of your corrolla 2010. The fares are horrible now especially Uber.

Ask yourself, if it's a Tokunbo car. We are looking at 10-12 million naira current valuation. A 10 million naira car is too much for the hustle.

It's not about what you earn but what you can keep. The app companies are still the winners because they don't buy cars nor do maintenance

You won't fully comprehend what I'm saying until you are like 6-8months using the car.

Thank you for your word of advice. I shall make sure i take a very good care of the car, i wouldn’t give it to other driver since I’ve heard about their characters over people’s car.

Well thank you too, I bought the car for my personal use initially. But when I realized the condition of the state and some food needed to be put on the table. Am not going to hustle like my life depends on it. But I will hustle like the man who needs money.

The Uber business right now does not deserve any expensive car. If the fares are dropping, the quality of the cars too should drop.
