Silverbird revived the movie theater culture in Nigeria and have even gone as far as expanding Silverbird Cinemas to Ghana and were also in Kenya until recently. They are the leading cinema chain, but Film House Cinemas are going to locations where Silverbird Cinemas have not been and they are pulling crowds operating digital cinema in Calabar, Cross River State, Lagos and just opened a new movie theater at Heritage mall, CoCoa House, Dugbe.

Yeah. Tickets are also cheaper! I hear they'll open very soon in Asaba too...

Asides Abuja, nothing is really going on up north which is a damn shame. I think places like Jos and Kaduna are nice enough to open cinemas if not for security concerns...

Cinemas should be everywhere in Nigeria not just in a place. How csn you take your oen thing to another state when your own country needs you? Piracy can obly be stopped through the use of cinema in nollywood. I'm happy with the indian movie industry because of this. (cinema). You will find a cinema hall in the most local city here india, and it pays a lot.

Honestly security isn't even as excuse, though the censorship there would be more stringent. I think the North is a great place for such a venture.

Security is important, dont just rush into things.
