pinkynanny: i submitted all the document on the check list Wat sort of fees/insurance, hope u did not pay anyone to make an application for you ? Anyway from wat i can see from ur checklist , i observed that you are not married, and you have jst 200k in your account and no investment whatsoever in Nigeria such as Landed documents, properties etc. The possible thinking of the ECO is that you may not return to Nigeria if issued a visa and the fact that you are unmarried, further fuels that thought. Your age bracket and the type of job you do here in Nigeria and how much you earn, is important in the ECO arriving at their decision most times. Your uncle making his account statement available to you, does not change a thing in your favour as the ECO will still require you to have adequate fund at your disposal for your upkeep; and enough savings at your disposal when you are to return to Nigeria which is difficult to prove with 200k. I will only advise you suspend your journey for now, build your account to say 700k and apply then. Hopefully, this will change your circumstances since your first application. And also take note, ensure consistency in the documents you will be submitting for your next application. They (ECO) will be looking for flaws to refuse you again if there's a noticeable difference in your application. I hope this helps......? 22 Likes 5 Shares |

First and foremost, how much was your insurance fee? 2. I thought you said your granny is with your uncle in France? 3. The landed property must be submitted with either a C of O or R of O. An ordinary document such as receipt will not be sufficient. 4.Where do you work? 5. How long have you been working here? 6.Are you single and what is your age? 2 Likes 1 Share |

pinkynanny: NO MY GRANNY IS STILL IN NIGERIA,WE BOTH APPLIED AND WE WHERE DENIED R of O is Right of Occupancy and it is also a good form of fixed asset documentation. How come your insurance was on a high side? It actually should have cost you about 10k to 12k. Since you work with a Print press for more than a year already, it is a good start. You now need to build your account to a minimum of about 700k and get yourself a better letter of introduction from your organisation stating: 1. How much you earn. 2. That you will be granted leave from work and your expected return date should be indicated. 3. It's important to mention that you will be paid your salary during you leave. 4. Get a rental receipt if you reside in a paid accomodation and include this in your application. This shows a commitement back in Naija. Note That this receipt has to show a rent that is reasonable not a small amount. If it doesnt meet this criteria, remove this document. 5. If you have other sources of income, include docs to show this in your application. It shows a commitment back home. 6. Any other thing you can think of that can lay a solid tie to Naija will help. 7 Likes |

Well, my circumstances in Nigeria is quite simple, my job is mostly contract engineering jobs, I don't really earn much, about assests I don't have, but my brother has some landed properties, I'm not married... But they really don't need to know all this, I can get documents stating I'm still my former company and generate pay slips and also get bank statements stating that I'm well loaded, besides my friend in france is working and is quite stable... I can also get his statement of accts if needed 1 Like 1 Share |

Do you have ties to Nigeria such as properties, marriage, job etc. If you anwers are no, then you will find it difficult to secure Shengen Visa from Nigeria. Since you're with a study permit in SA for three years already, you best bet is to apply from Pretoria and use you school ID card and reference letter from your Department along with proof of sufficient funds, to apply for the visa. That is the country (SA)where your current ties are..... 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Getting that visa will be tough. The embassy dont want your brother's documents, they want the traveller's. Please, do not take forged documents for Shengen Visa. You will be discovered and banned..... 6 Likes 1 Share |

pinkynanny: NO MY GRANNY IS STILL IN NIGERIA,WE BOTH APPLIED AND WE WHERE DENIEDguy na you koba your granny or you cause the denial for your granny....you should know that they will reject u cos you are too young and they believe u wont come back...most embassy gives visa to old people cos they know they will come back..my best option for u is to allow your granny apply on her own..instead of u both...so she can see her son..then after u can apply for student visa instead of visiting..sekena 6 Likes |

abijah007: In your case, getting a Shengen visa for tourism from Nigeria, will be a tall task. You dont have a source of income, no job, no wife & kids and you're being sponsored by someone else. Shengen visa application/issuance from Nigeria, is a different sort. You will have to convince the ECO of your intentions to depart the Shengen Territory before the expiration of your visa. These ties, i mentioned above. Your application will be much easier in SA with your school ID, reference letter from your dept, statement of a/c, study permit...... 1 Like |
