I'm not surprised In 2010 as a corper, a neighbour once invited us (17) to her daughter's wedding ceremony, asking us to come fully kitted in our NYSC clothes. So funny, this lady who lives below average threw a huge party/reception ceremony. Anyway, we went, but not on NYSC kit. However, almost all weekends until my POP, there were different parties. Oops! Maybe I should advice my friends who got jobs over there, to start ashoke business as well. |

It amazes me that y'all commenting can't decipher on what he was saying ...." He was referring to the huge ready made market to invest in Event management, textile industry amongst others to make money as a youth". Truth is,let government provide everything for youth to be self employed, most of our youth will still be roaming the street. Uneducated lots. Smh 11 Likes |

If there's something that should not be contested with Nigerians, especially we yorubas It's owambe parties. Nothing is more annoying than those who go out of their way, borrow money and land themselves in huge debts just to maintain the 'owambe 'status quo. 5 Likes |

Well, its their money. No one can tell them how to spend it. One can only advise the use of moderation, but then Nigerians are not popular for doing any stuff moderately. As far as they don't constitute blockage of roads (which I heard is a thing of the past in Lagos at least) and other inconvieniences to the general public, I guess its all good. |

Poor people could only spend 36billion in one year chei!! Tinubu's owambe is 1billion a trick. During his 60th birthday all the ACN governors were asked to contribute a third of their allocation. Am sure it was during one of these Owambe that his friend or enemy gave him "parkinsons" to drink. The result is history. 13 Likes |

It's how much people are spending on party that they will be calculating through a thorough study, no through study on the hell people are going through to pay for Accommodation and Transportation, no thorough study on how effective their useless Tenancy law has been, no thorough study on how much is being spent on media propaganda in Lagos, Wolves in Sheep clothing! 1 Like |
