My husband has infertility issues; low count and motility. We have tried all sorts of infertility treatments without luck. Right now we've decided to take it slow and try natural vitamins that boost count/motility. If anyone has an experience, please share so others can learn.

The rate at which male fertility issues is increasing is becoming alarming.It was not like this during the days of our parents.I am going through the same challenge.."zero sperm count".I have taken drugs,both native and oyibo drugs.Had testicular biopsy surgery this year and right now i am putting all my trust in God for a positive result.He alone can turn things around dramatically.You and your husband should be more prayerful and avoid any form of sin.A friend that we did surgery on this same issue testified that his wife got pregnant 2months ago.I will advice your DH should ensure the doctors(urologist) get the root cause of the disease so that he wont just be taking drugs for nothing.You can visit TTC thread to get more advice from the people going through this same challenge.May God answer our prayers soon.

@ santagelo the last doc we met said infection can cause male infertility. So now he's treating staph. I think there's some form of bacteria down there cos he's always complaining of itching which all the other doctors didn't take serious.

@ mykikiy I understand how you feel. Funny enough, I never knew male infertility was such a hard nut until it hit us. First of all, your dh should quit alcohol or smoking if he takes those; that's the first step.

There is no disease that God cannot cure..You can visit TTC thread.The issue on staph treatment have been seriously dealt with severally..Truly,it can cause infertility but can be treated.
@Mykikky,What steps have your DH taken concerning the issue?
Moreover,we should be careful of what we eat.There are foods we need to eat that boost sperm count and things that one need to avoid that decreases the count.
Some of this challenges could be spiritual.That is why we have/need to be very prayerful.It is a battle that has to be fought against from all angle.

Thank you so much for starting this discussion. It's like a taboo in our culture, so many women are dying in silent. My hubby and I have been battling male infertility for 5yrs. We've undergone 3 failed IVF with ICSI and IUI treatments. My hubby just started taking a supplement named Fertilaid found online at Iherb.com

I posted a forum asking couples who are taking this supplement to share their success.

@faith2013, people think it's abominable to speak up and get help when they are dying to get help. A little information can be of help to anyone having the male infertility. The problem is that most men will not talk about it so it's left for the wives to do what they can to help their husbands. We had 2 icsi this year, one chemical, one bfn and if I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have been in a hurry. Fertilaid is good. DH took it and his count rose from 100,000 to 1.8mil within a month. Though they said it's takes 3 months but I know someone who took maca roots and it unbelievably went from 3mil to 120mil in 5 weeks.

wow!! that was a great improvement in just a month. My sister, it so true that men hardly open up about male infertility. Honestly this journey has straigthened our relationship with the help of God. My DH also takes additional maca supplement with fertilaid. We will obtain another SA in 3 weeks to see if there is any improvement, which there will be IJN.

@ Faith 2013, Amen my sister. There will definitely be an improvement! I don't even wish to waste money again on expensive treatments that are not guaranteed. I'm praying that God will bless us with a natural BFP soon. There's nothing he cannot do; all it takes it one perfect sperm.

@Faith2013,i like the spirit of togetherness and total cooperation between you and your husband.I believe sperm count issue have a solution.Afterall,a lot of people have testified of their success in it(In church).We only need 1person here to breakthrough and others will follow.God will make it come soonest in Jesus name.
You are right that men dont like sharing their fertility issue.Maybe because of their ego.I never liked it too..It took me time before i open up in this thread..I was reading silently for months before i finally made up mind to share.Mothers of great nation,i will advice you stick to your husband no matter what especially if he has been faithful to you.In God's time,we shall all celebrate,jubilate and felicitate.All this time will now be a thing of the past by the time your children will be running around the house and be calling you MUMMY and your hubby DADDY.The time is NOWWWWW!!! Be encouraged and hopeful.God bless you and your wonderful marriage.

Thank you soo much for being brave enough to come out and share your light. It feels so good to hear from other ppl with similiar issue and learn how they deal with it through prayer and support. Being that I was not raised in Nigeria, I see things differently from DH. DH grew up and went to school in Nigeria, before leaving the country, so it bothers him more when he sees some of his friends on their second and third children. I love DH so much and I truly believe that marriage is more than having children. Knowing and serving God is priority in the success of every marriage and HE will direct your path. My prayer is for God to bless my family with children that will worship HIM with all their hearts and advance HIS kingdom. Children that will exalt, honor and glorify HIM.

Enkaay how did u pple treat staph. My DH motility is 30% but the count is above 22mil. We jst found out abt d stph in his culture. How did u do urs?

It is favour of God. Also, the nature of ur husband work is another thing. Efficient sperm has to do with cool body. Having baby production process (sex) is mostly effective very early in the morning when body is at its natural state. Sperm output required may not be sufficient we you av sex in the night after busy day coupled with body hit.

It is only when the enlightened are in deep shi.t they give God absolute regards when the sailing is smooth it simply does not make sense to accord so much respect to a Deity rather there's a scientific explanation for everything.

I wish you all luck and I pray that God in His mercy and time will grant you your heart's desires.
