Rejection of the Bible’s account of creation as given in the Book of Genesis could rightly be called "Genecide," because it eradicated man's purpose of existence and left a whole generation with no certainty as to its beginning. Consequently, theories and tales of our origin have crept like primeval slime from the minds of those who don't know God. This intellectual genocide has given the godless a temporary license to labour to the extremes of their imagination, giving birth to painful conjecture of human beginnings. They speak in speculation, the uncertain language of those who drift aimlessly across the endless sea of secular philosophy. The Scriptures, on the other hand, deal only with truth and certainty. They talk of fact, reality, and purpose for man’s existence. The darkness of the raging sea of futility retreats where the lighthouse of Genesis begins. Uyi Iredia: Does your acceptance of evolution come on the basis of "faith"? I know that is not a "proper" question to ask but some people take it that way. What I basically mean is; do you now being a Deist, feel compelled to take evolution as a fact, in probably the same way that some people feel bound to reject evolution because they are theists? Secondly and further, what changed your views on evolution? What do you think about your old arguments against it and what new arguments would you counter with in support? Thanks. |

The same sunlight that melts wax also hardens clay. As God’s light shines on man, the sinner’s heart determines his response. One whose heart is tender will respond to God; one whose heart is bent on evil will harden his heart further against God and will remain in darkness. Sinners should note: After Pharaoh repeatedly hardened his heart against God (see Exodus 8:15,32), God then hardened Pharaoh’s heart (Exodus 10:27). Those who continually reject God will be given up to "uncleanness, vile affections, and a reprobate mind" (Romans 1:24,26,28). www.needgod.com |

A young woman teacher with obvious liberal tendencies explains to her class of small children that she is an atheist. She asks her class if they are atheists too. Not really knowing what atheism is but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands shoot into the air. There is, however, one exception. A beautiful girl named Lucy has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks why she has decided to be different. "Because I'm not an atheist." "So," asks the teacher, "what are you?" "A Christian" The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Lucy why she thinks she is a Christian. "Well, I was brought up knowing and loving Jesus. My mum is a Christian and, my dad is a Christian, I also accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour and I know I'm a Christian." The teacher is visibly angry now. "That's no reason," she says loudly, "What if your mum had been a mo-ron and, your dad had been a mo-ron. What would that make you?" After a pause, and a smile. "Then," says Lucy, "that would make me an atheist." |

OLAADEGBU: You can see into our hearts? Are these visions as real as those you have about the afterlife? You think we just want to sin? Could that be because you imagine you'd be 'sinning' yourself if you had a chance? Please tell us what you'd indulge in were it not for your fear a psychopath my good sociopath. On another note, you consistently fear monger for your sociopath god, obviously terrified of him and playing a sycophant to an omnipotent (note the foo.lishness there if you can). So, this omnixx that exist only in your delusions, you fear monger because you are piss scared of him and would do anything, and I mean anything, eg sacrifice your son like a goat or make hitler's final solution look like a vacation (I'm looking at you hell, with your never ending furnace), just to please him and protect your behind. Has it ever made sense to you? I guess is just an excuse to satisfied some craving. Pls forgive me for calling you a fool, such absurdity is unbelieveable. To claim what you know nothing about is laughable. I love it when athiests like you come up with the usual bull crap, you make me realise that you are just fulfilling scripture. Oh yea, we need some ignorant folks like to make the scripture complete and i tell you, God has found the perfect set of ppl. Like Ola said, He(GOD) has given your heart to do more evil, don't blame Him, you ask for it and so you have it double, just like pharoah. We know a time like this will come. When some persons will fight God and His message, but thank God for the scripture that sees ahead. We are not taken by surprise by your outburst, anger and frustration, just like the muslims, we just pity you. By the way, do you athiests in the house ever read my account of an encounter with an angel? I will encourage to search for it and read it with an open heart. Oh, i don't expect you to buy into it, because i already know characterised you bunch, just want to use that as a witness against you. Gess, i almost forgot. Can somebody be kind enough to explain to me the hope of an athiest in their miserable life? Thanks. Oh, what joy and refreshment i have in Christ. |

Kay 17: ^^^ Didn't you get it? The sun that melts the wax is the same sun that hardens the clay, it is no fault of the sun it all depends on the substance exposed to the sun. The same principle goes for hardness of heart, which comes on a person in a process of time as he rejects God's word. The same word of God that brings mercy and miracles to the obedient hearer, is the same word that brings misery and misfortune upon the contumacious hearer, just as Pharaoh got to find out. |

wiegraf: Those visions backed up with the Scriptures were legitimate scare tactics to scare the hell out of you. You guys are so scared of hell that you now figure that by believing God doesn't exist your nightmares would disappear. Your case reminds me of another story. A man was driving to work when a lorry drove through a stop sign, hit his car broadside, and knocked him out. Passers-by pulled him from the wreck and revived him. He began a terrific struggle and had to be tranquillised by the paramedics. Later, when he came to and was calm, they asked him why he struggled so much. He said: "I remember the impact, then nothing. I woke up on a concrete slab in front of a huge, flashing 'Shell' sign. And somebody was standing in front of the S." |

OLAADEGBU: Your antecdote doesn't follow. "The Lord hardened his heart" has nothing to do with rewards of fortune or punishment of misery, rather it tampers with free will of the individual. The pharoah could have changed his mind, but God maliciously removes such an opportunity for the Pharoah. Had the Pharoah had his freewill and his actions lead to the Red Sea debacle, then we can justify his misfortune, however God did what he wanted to do. |

Re: How To Become An Atheist by OLAADEGBU(m): 9:19am On Oct 05, 2013 |
Kay 17: The word of God. It says: "for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" The word further says in Romans 1:19-20 which says everyone knows God, because God has revealed Himself to us. It says that God's existence is so obvious that anyone who suppresses this truth is "without excuse." This is how I know that you deny with your lips what you know in your heart, it's just that you don't want to believe that He exists because you enjoy your sinful lifestyle. |

Kay 17: The Omniscient God had foreknowledge of Pharaoh's reaction when He said "I will harden Pharaoh's heart...." And before you hastily jump to conclusion that God allowed Pharaoh's heart to be hardened, you should ask yourself of what substance was Pharaoh's heart made of? Pharaoh was full of pride and contempt for God's word and will just as you "atheists" wannabe" do. You should also compare Pharaoh with Moses and Aaron and see that these men of God believed, were persuaded and obedient to God which was in sharp contrast to that of Pharaoh. Pharaoh wasn't predestined for destruction. Neither is anyone. Everybody is created a free moral agent who has a right of choice. Whatever we choose comes from our own individual volition. To avoid the dire state of hardness of heart like that of Pharaoh's, you must tremble and obey God whenever He challenges you to do so because the human heart is constantly resistant to God's word and delights in sin. When you are obstinate God then permits your heart to become insensitive and hardened. Therefore, don't ignore God's promptings to believe and obey Him and avoid rejecting God's word to suit your selfish sinful lifestyle. Let a change take place in your heart today as you repent and pray now before it gets too late like it was for Pharaoh. |

Kay 17: The Holy Scriptures (the Bible) is just not an ordinary book for a couple of reasons. It is inspired by God through holy men of God who wrote it down. We also know that the Scriptures are true because we can subject it to tests. Genesis chapters 1-11 gives us an account of historical events about the ultimate cause of the universe and how life did originate - questions you atheists haven't got a clue about. Through the application of science we can safely confirm that God's account of creation is true. For instance, God informs us in the account of Genesis chapter 1 that fish, birds plants, animals and every living organism were created after their own kind, And that is exactly what we observe, dogs only produce dogs, cats only produce cats etc. We can also confirm many other aspects of the Scripture's history in other areas of science such as astronomy and geology. We can rely on the Scriptural truth concerning our Lord Jesus Christ. Consider for instance how many prophecies about Him were made 100's of years before He was incarnated. For these and other reasons we can safely confirm the history in the holy Scriptures, we can have faith in all that the Scriptures have to say. However, the main reason we can trust the Scriptures is because it is from the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God, which is different from every other book on planet earth. Thus we can know that the Scriptures are true as we use it as our presupposition for our living, learning and actions. |

Teaching Universe October 5, 2013 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge" (Psalm 19:1-2). This familiar psalm, extolling God’s creation (vv. 1-6) and God’s Word (vv. 7-14), begins with a beautiful summary of the testimony of the physical universe. “The heavens” and the “firmament” are synonymous (Genesis 1:8 ), both being equivalent to our modern scientific concept of space. The “glory of God” refers to His infinite power, or energy, and “his handywork” implies the infinite variety and complexity of physical systems, or matter, in the universe. This interaction of matter and energy occurs everywhere throughout space, but also has to operate and be understood in the context of time, “day unto day” and “night unto night.” The entire marvelous complex of space/time/matter/energy is continually “uttering speech” and “showing knowledge,” teaching men and women of all times and places that there is a great Creator God who made it all. “The invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen” (Romans 1:20). The boundless space, the endless time, the infinite energies, and the innumerable complexities of the matter of the universe all unite in irrefutable testimony to the God of creation. The most fundamental principle of science, as well as the most universal rule of human experience, is the Law of Cause and Effect, stating that no effect can transcend its cause. Thus, the great cause of the universe must be infinite, eternal, omnipotent, and omniscient. And since we as living, feeling persons are able to think about all this, that cause must also be a living, feeling, thinking person. This is the great lesson engraved on the textbook of the universe for all to read and learn. The whole creation, indeed, declares the glory of God. HMM For more . . . . 1 Like |
