Dreams And Their Meanings/ Interpretation by AdeniyiA(m): 10:10am On Nov 17, 2013
Only the dead don't dream dreams, dreams could be caused by many things and most times they are for guidance ,warnings etc. Those who are spiritually inclined don't joke with dreams. Some are blessed with the gift of unfailing and direct dreams, some, indirect while some are blessed with their interpretations. The loving God loves to guide and warn His children concerning future occurrences, unfortunately we get so busy in life such that we hardly hear or listen when He speaks.
However, when we are 'gentle' at night, we receive instructions/messages which we are expected to act on/upon. It is however not a good omen to dream and forget when you wake up, you need deliverance ASAP.
Considering the calibre of gifted men/women of God on this forum, I hereby throw this thread open for contributions in sharing and interpreting dreams as the spirit directs. Thanks.
Below are some dreams and their interpretations.
1. Eating in the dream - spiritual attacks.(diseases, illness, barreness - e. g, through fibroid etc)
2. Swimming in the dream.
-water actually means trouble -a retrogressive encounter.
3. Picking snails.
- such person should pray against delay in future endeavours
Kindly add yours for people's liberation.
A problem shared is half solved.

Please I have been seeing things in Two's for almost a year in some of my dreams. It keeps repeating itself in several ways. I am wondering what this could mean?

Generally, I am gifted in dreams and their interpretation but this particular one seems difficult for me to decipher

Eating in the dream: Our state of mind might influence this kind of dream, but more often than not, it is a spiritual attack against our destiny. Eating in the dream is a device of the devil used to bring people into bondage. When we eat in the dream, our spirit man becomes polluted because what we are being fed with is nothing but poison. If God could open your eyes to see the true nature of that amala, jollof rice, dried or fresh fish, meat, boiled egg, poundo/eba and okro/egusi/ogbono soup, beans and yam you have been consuming with relish in the dream, you will cry to the heavenlies for deliverance. The so-called food could consist of live worms, maggots, blood, sand/dirt and some other mysterious objects. The enemy disguises it to look like real food because they know that if we are to see it in it's true form, we will reject it.

If you dream of drinking blood and eating human flesh, then beloved, you are in very serious need of deliverance grin grin grin

Sickness, diseases, satanic initiations, stagnation/backwardness, evil convenant activators/strengtheners can be planted through dream food. I know of cases where certain diseases like fibroid and goitre cropped up shortly after the fellow ate in the dream. For some, it is hindrances and blockages. An old coursemate of mine confided in me that one night, shortly after he graduated from secondary school, he dreamt that he ate a full chicken, raw with blood, guts and all. After eating, he stepped down with water from a toilet. Yep, the dude slurped down that toilet water in mouthfuls. Nasty. sad. After that dream, the heavens over his life became brass, the earth beneath his feet, iron. His whole life became a mess. After years of disappointment and profitless labour, he joined a deliverance ministry where he had to undergo deliverance for two consecutive weeks before his destiny was restored.

Eating in the dream can also open the door for satanic invasion. Closer home, my cousin was been plagued by a demonic spirit husband. She said that whenever she prayed really hard, the spirit went on casual leave and she would have some peace, but the moment she eats in the dream, the spirit would come back in full force to harass her .

Whenever we eat in the dream, we should immediately get up, pray and fast to nullify that satanic poison being projected into us. Jesus Christ came to set us free and he who the Lord sets free, is truly free indeed .

Swimming in the dream: Our state of mind can influence this kind of dream, but more often than not, it is a sign of something more sinister. If I was watching a movie set in watery places, like for example 'The Life of Pi', or 'Hotel Riviera' with that gigantic, sparkling swimming pool, I could end up dreaming about swimming. However, this is a one off-thing. Most times, when you see yourself swimming in the water, it means you are associated with the marine kingdom.

If you constantly dream of walking by a river shore, swimming in the water, dancing some very strange dance moves in the water, attend meetings with unknown people in the water, see mermaids/mermen, own houses in the water, it means you are possessed with a marine spirit. You need deliverance.

If each time you pray concerning issues that trouble you, and once you close your eyes, you find yourself swimming or you see large bodies of water, then it means your problem is coming from the marine kingdom. Investigate your family background and the circumstances sorrounding your birth. You need deliverance.

If you find yourself wading through turbulent muddy waters, it means trouble is ahead of you in the immediate future. You need to pray hard to divert it. However, if you are able to come out of the muddy water before you wake up, then you will surely overcome.

If you see a stagnant pool of water, it means the spirit of stagnation is at work in your life. Check your life well, are you making progress in life? Are things moving well? Are you where you are supposed to be? Are things at a stand still?

May God open our understanding and grant us victory. Amen.

Seeing/picking snails, seeing tortoise: We all know what 'snail parade' means grin. Snails are very slow. I recently watched an animated movie titled 'Turbo'. In one of the scenes, the titular character, a snail, took seventeen minutes to cross the length of a ruler. Hilarious cheesy. However, the humour becomes sour when one sees this mollusc in the dream. When you see snails, it means there is a force at work in your life to turn your life into an Isrealite journey. What you ought to do in two months, you end up taking three years to achieve it. When the spirit of the snail is at work in your life, your journey of 40days turns to 40years. When your peers work two years before being promoted, you will have to work five before even been considered.

Same goes with the tortoise. I was introduced to the tortoise's legendary slowness in my primary school days when I read the fable of Mr Hare and Mr Tortoise. It took the tortoise three hours to complete a 45minute race, but he was still able to beat the swift footed Hare because of his craftiness, doggedness and consistency. However, the tortoise's consistency is not the issue here; it his godawful slowness, which he and the snail symbolises spiritually that is the matter of concern.

When you dream of tortoises and snails, the spirit of delay is at work in your life. You must rise up in prayer otherwise everything in your life will be a long, tiring snail parade.

Shaven head: If you are a bald fellow like 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and you dream of same baldness, then you have nothing to worry about. However, if your tresses are as glorious as ogugua88's, but you dream that your pate is as bald as a baby's well oiled and shiny buttocks, then my friend, you need to pray like a mad prophet.

Our hair in the spirit realm is the symbol of our glory. Once you see your hair being shaved by unknown hands or persons, then it means your glory is under attack. In the physical realm, a woman with messed up hair is quite a turn off. Even the bible says a woman's hair is her crowning glory. Now imagine it in the spiritual. Really messed up hair in the dream means your life is messed up in more ways than you are aware of. A shaved head is worst. It means that glory, that star they were born with has been tampered with.

After such dreams, the affected persons will suddenly start facing challenges, stagnation, disappointment in their endeavours and set back. They need deliverance. If such people stubbornly refuse to acknowledge the obvious and go for deliverance, they will most likely die without fulfilling their destinies.

Barefeet: Our legs are the instruments of mobility. If you dream of rigmaroling the federation with thy bare feet, it means the spirit of limitation is at work in your life. You are limited to a certain level in life, and try as you may, you can't move beyond that level.

In the physical realm, 90% of us cannot cross the threshold of our houses with our barefeet. The remaining 10% are our Cele brovas and sisters. Those peeps can trek from here to Timbuktu with their bare feet grin

*clears throat* embarassed

Dreaming of barefeet can also mean that your marital life is under attack. In addition, dreaming of roaming around with one leg of footwear could mean marital hindrance or limitation and /or marital unpreparedness. I remember when I was still at the university, on the very first day of one particular semester, I dreamt was moving around with one leg of sandals. I had this dream two days straight. Within the next few weeks, I met a man who worshipped the ground I walked on and was ready drag me to the altar by the nape of my neck. Of course I was very much unprepared so at the end of day, it didn't work out. I came very close to marrying him, but I pulled back for my own good. Years later, when God opened my eyes, I was able to connect the dream to later events that happened that year.

I've met a couple of people who have had similar dreams before facing similar situations.

May God open our understanding and grant us victory. Amen.

Dreaming of nake.dness in public: This is a very bad dream. When you constantly dream of being nak.ed in public, it means a satanic embarassment is on the way. You need to pray with holy violence in order to avert it. In the physical realm, public nake.dness is a very traumatising experience and only very few people have had the misfortune to experience it. Now imagine what it symbolises in the spirit realm: SHAME, EMBARASSMENT, TROUBLE etc

Let me narrate another personal experience. In my 200 level in the university, I went through a very harrowing ordeal. I remember I had being having dreams of bathing on the roadside and passersby would be staring at me and pointing. I would wake up physically cringing and wondering what on earth the dreams meant. Sometimes I would dream of walking butt nak.ed on the road. I didn't understand what it meant so I didn't really pay attention. I had this dream on regular basis until they stopped. The same week it stopped, something happened. Some guys were grooving by my hostel room window during our Hall Week. After downing a few bottles, they became very rowdy and turned the beat up. I and my roomates got fed up with the rowdy revelers and protested, sternly exhorting the young merrymakers to take their noise elsewhere. This amused them. One of them got a hold of an empty calypso bottle and with surprising accuracy despite their drunkenness, aimed it the forehead of my shrieking roomate. The girl was leaning out the window and warning the boys. The bottle struck the girl a glancing blow and landed in the room. A satchet of pure water followed the calypso bottle. Enraged, the girl took the hot water she had boiled to have her bath and poured it on the boys. Luckily for them, it didn't touch them. Though they were drunk, they sober enough to realise what was happening so they fled, abandoning their musical instruments. All these was happening around 10-10.30pm. I was cooking jollof rice and boiled egg, but this did not stop me from encouraging her as she boiled more water in readiness for more action and retaliation from those noisy niggas. None came.

The following morning, I had just finished warming my rice when the door to my room was flung open. Guess who had arrived? Policemen. It seemed the boys had gone to report the incident to the security men. They accused I and my roomates of 'attempted murder' and 'intent to cause grievous bodily harm with hot water'. They didn't even allow I and the other girls to wear our bras before dragging us by the scruff of our necks and flinging us into the notorious 'Unilag Black Maria'. O, the embarassment!!embarassed embarassed I was clad in just flimsy black leggings and a faded ash coloured t-shirt, with no bra underneath. The students sorrounding hostels, both male and female came out to witness our humiliation as we were dragged away. Some of the boys involved in the incident screamed abuses at us as we walked shamefacedly through the crowd. My roomate was already bawling like a baby while I hid my face in embarassment. We were locked up in the university security post without food or water for the better part of a day before finally being released. I and my roomies were nicknamed 'ex-convict' for the rest of that semester.

Traumatic and humiliating. angry embarassed

It took me sometime before I was able to connect the dreams I had been having to the event that occured.

May God open our understanding and grant us victory in all things. Amen.

I have had dreams about things that later come to fruition, many times in my life.
Some are not always clear at the time, but become clear later. The other night I dreamed I was bitten by a snake. Snakes are in my dreams often, but I have never been bitten till now. I found this online. I was in a conversation, before sleeping that night, that can only be described as the bolded. This weighed heavily on my mind as I went to sleep. What do you think?

Dreaming of being bitten by a snake is one of the most common and striking snake dreams.

While the dreamer is likely to wake up scared or confused about the meaning of such a dream, a general interpretation considers snake bite imagery in dreams as a precious warning or
wake up call regarding your waking life.

A snake biting you symbolically signifies that you need to pay attention to a challenging situation
or emotion that has not yet been completely
acknowledged and dealt with.

The snake bite symbolizes a wake
up call Warning about a situation, activity, behavior or thought that are “poisonous” in your life.

Warning about something that paralyzes your
ability to make a choice in order to take the
next step in your life or a relationship

Resistance to what is perceived as a
“temptation” or a situation that challenges your beliefs or values

@TeX I dreamt I was bitten by a snake recently. it bit me and clung to my skin with its fangs while I panicked and ran like a scalar quantity. I thought I was poisoned and going to die. Long story short, the slither-thing fell off without me doing anything. I felt nothing, no pain, no poison, nothing. The next day a snake was killed at work lol. Nowadays my torch is glued to my hands. I don't need stories that touch grin

@tex, dream symbols vary across different cultures of the world. A dream symbol might mean different things to the different people of different cultures. A European interpretation of snake dreams has a radically different interpretation in Africa. Dreaming of snakes on a regular basis here in Africa most times mean an enemy is at work in your life.

A sister prays consistently about certain issues challenging her, and one day, she dreams of a gigantic albino python sitting on a throne, and hears a voice telling her that this python spirit that resides in the family is the source of all her challenges. It is the spirit that her ancestors in their ignorance dedicated themselves and their descendants to.

The European will argue differently about this interpretation because it is strange to him, but here in Africa, where idolatory is deeply rooted in a lot of foundations, this interpretation is acceptable.

When a dream repeats itself over and over again, it is a sign that God is trying to use that dream to tell us something. What you feel when you wake up from that dream is an indication of whether that dream is a good or bad dream. Are you puzzled? Unsettled? Happy? Depressed? Confused?

There are people called 'opposite dreamers'. The maifestation of their dreams is usually the opposite of what they dream. If they dream of being sad, some happy and joyous event is in the offing. If they dream that someone gave them money, be sure that they will lose money or a business deal in the nearest future. I used to be an opposite dreamer. Just before I gained admission into the university, I dreamt I was lying in a gutter and weeping bitterly. The following day, the admission list came out and I was admitted into two different departments. The luxury of choice wink. However being an opposite dreamer is very spooky so I had to beg God to change it, and He did.

Can one be an opposite dreamer by choice? Lets say I see something bad and say a prayer about it and something good happens does it make me an opposite dreamer?

Its funny thinking opposite dreamers will be happy when they wake up from a bad dream.

That's why I said it is creepy. As far as I am concerned, If you you have a bad dream and you pray and cancel it, and at the end of the day something good happens, it doesn't make you an opposite dreamer. I think you are an opposite dreamer if when after the bad dream you take no action and something good still happens. I think.

But you still ended up with a toy, right?

Not all dreams have meaning. Some dreams are just random subconsious activity of the mind. Those are the dreams we call 'meaningless dreams'. Our subconscious just freestyles with the day's events, twisting it and giving us very funny or very strange playback of our day's activities. However, it is cause for concern when a fellow ALWAYS have meaningless dreams. The oppressor manipulates your dream life so that you don't remember the important revelations but only the meaningless and useless ones.

It is even worse when you don't dream at all. Dreamless sleep is not bad, but when it becomes chronic, then it is very very bad. A lot of things are going on the spirit which you don't know about because the eyes of your spiritman has been blinded. Some of the greatest achievers had their inspiration through dreams. If these people had woken up and immediately forgotten the dream, they wouldn't be listed among the great achievers today.

So many people have been denied their greatness for the simple reason that they can't remember their dreams. The secret of their blessings which God reveals to them through dreams is forever hidden from them because their dream monitors are faulty or are being demonically manipulated.
