In as much as I won't want to be judgemental on the Brabus/Client saga, I honestly wish that there relationship will not end on a sour note. Please try and resolve your differences offline - this project is a sight to behold! And I don't think it will be Ok for the parties to part at this point when the project is almost concluded.
However, going forward I suggest that rules of engagement for projects on this forum should be well spelt out in black and white, well signed and strictly adhered to during the building process.
I don't think under 25m so far expended on this project is a bad deal oooooo considering the scope of the project. However Brabus should try and resolve the issue of 1.7million with his client.

helpee: You are still not getting it. You have made up your mind that brabus must be crucified cos of his antecedence. But life is not that straightforward. Nobody is saying that brabus is right but this same guy built this chateau with 25million and didn't run away until they gave him a 750K and he couldn't deliver on time. So he must be a thief and anybody that tries to reason out the situation must be standing logic on its head. Nope! I stand to be corrected...contractors world over sometimes collect money from client and are not able to deliver on time. That doesn't make them to be fraud. U quoted chekinaut but few weeks ago, a lady came to lodge complaint against chekinaut cos after collecting money, he couldn't deliver the granite and the workers were left idle on site. Must we now conclude that chekinaut is a fraud . So don't be pre-judgemental. Unless u want to deny an obvious fact, the two of them are @fault and they must find a way of resolving it. Even if the client approach the police, as along as he is ready to refund the money, no show! This is my candid opinion and u are entitled to yours

I'm I to understand that your reasoning is that Brabus's issue is a failure to deliver on time for the chateau project and again the vimo case ?Then since he has told the owners that he has not even initiated the procurement; why not refund them; why does he need them to give him time to pay them back in the new year; does this say Brabus does not have the money now; does that say Brabus has spent the money for other things than what it was intended for. I guess I do reason differently from the way that you do and that's okay.

brabus: Dear Sirs and Madam,

I would like to express my deep regrets for falling short of your expectation and apologize for my actions. It was inappropriate, disrespectful and lacked the professionalism that you expect from me.

While I cannot alter what has transpired, I sincerely apologize for the shortcomings on this project.

Please bear with me. I have no intention of defrauding those who put food on my table. Not even at the tail end of the project.

Sincerely,

Brabus.

@Brabus

I'm not happy with this allegation. Please tell me this is just an attempt of deformation of your character. You know I just left Canada 4 days ago to award you the contract for my project. Please settle whatever the problem between you and this gentleman. Now that I'm in Lagos, I don't expect anything like this to affect my project you will be handling. Please use this forum to address the issues. Thanks and God bless! I still hope to meet with you tomorrow though!

Hmmmm. Too many issues with Brabus. Brabus pls stop blogging about these issues and face them offline. At this point you don't need a court of public opinion to resolve these issues....settles with ur clients and move on.....though I'm saddened cos this is not the first or second time something like dis is happening, its a great learning process for me. I wish other young engineers who are following this thread learn from it too. Also, pls work on your PR.

QC-1 thank you for forgiving Brabus for disappointing 5 clients that we know of through Nairaland.

SO you really believe he will disappoint his immediate 5 past clients but not you the 6th client? If I be Brabus, me sef I go suspect your magnanimity - I mean who will put their hard earned money at risk like this? abi is this complete lack of judgement... I derail, please give Brabus your contract...

I'm sure Vimo3 and Neophyte-Mason will be quite happy to hear you want to give him your contract - it means Brabus will actually pay them in January as he promised - by that time you go don go back Canada, and your money will be applied to paying them plus paying other urgent personal expense like school fees (you know January is children school fees time)... AND you can't complain of being defrauded because this thread is proof that you knew from onset.

I now see why ponzi scheme dey work...maga full ground...

pls learn how to do your business in a fair manner. You don't openly try to steal somebody's client openly like this. Don't u have honour. I don't care if this guy decide to try brabus again...that's his cup of tea and even if brabus take up the job, I will advise him to keep it offline. But for you to come openly to solicit for someone's client on his thread when he down and under fire shows how mean you are. U can't even be a good business cos you are too desperate. If you don't care wether brabus become ur enemy by soliciting openly for his job after his downfall on his own thread, u won't mind making the client ur enemy when things go wrong btwn you too. God help Nigeria! With people like you who cannot distinguish what is right or wrong, it means we have a very long way to go as a nation. This is the reason why there's no good governance in Nigeria because when the leaders are not performing their duties, they have many astute defenders who are ready to defend them up to the hilt. I can't see the correlation with the complaint against Chekitaut and the one against Brabus but then we know that it's easy to stand truth on it's head in Nigeria. You seem to confuse not delivering on time from not delivering at all.

Rather with people like you who believe their opinion is the only thing that is right then we have a long way to go as a nation. Infact, with people like you that always take divergent opinion to be wrong, we can't have good governance in nigeria. So u think I must follow ur bandwagon approach to crucify? Who told you he didn't deliver @all. The client can't wait and he had done it so what do u want brabus to deliver other than to refund? If the client that complained about chekinaut decided to source for the granite elsewhere cos she couldn't wait and now decide to ask for a refund, will you conclude that it is a case of no delivery @all. Pls, don't ever tell somebody he can't differentiate between what is right and wrong...it is an insult. U believe ur opinion is right and I must accept it else I am wrong and u are complaining that we don't have good governance. Imagine if we have ur kind as a governor, you will throw everybody in opposition to prison cos u are the only that is right

From the topic in your profile it suggests that you are a medical doctor and if you continue to demonstrate such lack of joined up thinking then I do pity the people who have to rely on your judgement. There are stuff that might be classed under a difference of opinion and there are those which fall under an inability to take things through to their logical conclusion.

A greater worry is that a person of his education might actually reason this way and believe in what he is saying. It does mean as a country we do have a long way to go with this level of disjointed thought process.

Education should enable you to extend on your God given common sense and process information, think it through and come to a logical conclusion and you should also be able to reflect and reassess your conclusion especially in light of additional information. Not unless you want to be stubbornly wrong even if it makes you look like an air head but ---shakes shoulder---- Everyone to their own.

Madam...yes I am a medical doctor and that's how we are trained. We don't accept things on face value. So unfortunate people like you that claim they come from diaspora where people are giving adequate opportunity to defend themselves are the ones coming to nigeria to do rubbish. I followed ur thread where u were posting pictures of ur tenant online and I must confess you dare not do such to me or a doctor. U will learn in a hard way. You don't just reason one way and think everybody will accept it like that. For ur information, I follow all of brabus thread since 2011 and I never post a comment same way I follow other threads without commenting so I av a balanced sense of judgement. For ur information, just yesterday, I got a refund after 2months for a plank that was not supplied to my site and I didn't die within that two months. I wonder the level of ur education that makes u think a doctor shouldn't av a divergent opinion and I notice something about some of u in diaspora, instead of stating ur case u will start saying that somebody with certain level of education is against u so nigeria is spoilt. And for u to say u pity those that rely on my judgement is an insult to ur own level of reasoning. Don't allow this to degenerate to insult cos I notice in ur numerous comment u don't have courtesy of words. U can avoid me if you can't tolerate my views

Most Nigerians are not known to work hard for their money. They tend to rely heavily on short methods and god fathers.

How one can come here and defend brabus after he has messed up not on 1, 2, 3 not even 4 occasions on this very forum beats me even after brabus has admitted his various failures here.

How can someone collect my 750K for job and without even contracting any worker to do my work come back to ask for more money to complete the said job. And i found out that zero work was being done and complained, some other man has the mind to come here to defend Brabus. And to think that some people are even calling the owner of the house 'GREEDY' for trying to help a brother become successful?

Na wa for Nigerians o.
