Muslims criticising the Bible is like a Pot calling the Kettle black. How can a book be read only in Arabic to be fully understood ? How can a book be a Miracle when it contains so much plagiarism that if it's scribes were alive today they would been in Jail for fraud. Who in his right mind will believe that a book fell down from heaven, lol. The Quran is plagued with hate, divisiveness, war and gross intolerance and the scary thing is that it is being put into practise as we speak with millions dead over the past few years. Qur'an is a complete book without any contradiction, after going through the above verses as stated by the OP I realised that he just picked a word from 4 to 5 sentences. If you want to read the qur'an or prove the OP right I require you to start from the two verses before the main verse and stop at the next two verses after the verse. This will enable you to have a strong connection of those above verses and will enable you to make a reasonable conclusion. In john 8 verse 1-10 Jesus was called upon to implement one those decrees quoted by op in old testament He refused to do so. A woman was brought to him with accusation of sin of adultery, the sentence was to be stoned to death, but He said no. He marched His words in mathew chapter 5 with His actions in John cahpter 8. If you studied bible very well those decrees the op cited were not commandments of God. They were referred to mosaic laws developed by leader of Israel led by Moses for day to day running of civil relationships. Jesus referred to section on divorce by saying Moses gave it because of the hardness of the heart of Israelites. God Bless you |

AtheistD:Brother AtheistD, Tithe is a direct word of God. Jesus said the best law is to LOVE God. Tithe is a way to show that love. Forget about abuse of it. Some of you say it is better to give to charity, is there any guarantee that such giving will not be abused? Some beggars use alms given to them to patronise prostitutes and beer parlours. Will you because of that stop giving to charity? Tithe is not even real deal in this dispensation again, but sacrificial giving. waldigit: Tithing is illogical. Why must God require we tithe when He can provide? How is tithe proof of love? Is it not wasteful to waste hard work to enrich lavish pastorpreneurs when there are many going without? If God setup the tithe scheme/philosophy/requirement then why is it failing so woefully? And is that failure not evidence of Gods inability to effect a change on this planet? Wouldnt it be easier for God to abolish tithe and look into the hearts of all to ascertain who loves Him? Why does God need to test us? Why does God need confirmation/affirmation of our love? Is He not aware of our deepest desires? Is love for God equated to finances? What about those who do work for God through other means but do not tithe? Think about it. Tithing is like all financial scams. A ponzi scheme. Advance fee fraud. Nothing more... nothing less. |
