"Personally, now and for some time I feel so ashamed to have killed people to sustain the unity of Nigeria. I feel so sad to have shed blood for the unity of Nigeria. While some of us were dying in the battle field for the restoration of Nigeria as one country, some people have their eagle eyes on one particular subject, oil, the live wire of the economy, the new fulcrum or pendulum of power. While we fought for one country, some people have been reaping where they did not sow. They have been reaping from bogus population figures fashioned to suit their selfish purposes" -Brig. SeaGold: God will punish all these genocide executors even in their graves. They killed unarmed youth, left children to die on hunger, molested women and maim them and killed defenceless men instead of engaging their common enemies the freedom fighters.Hausas and Yorubas may be the worst enemies of the Igbo but the Ijaws sees no one as enemies. You vile and hateful bunch. You eedeeot, the Same Adaka Boro the great you "Dread" is Jonathan's mentor. No Ijwa Son will speak ill of Isaac Adaka Boro. Eedeeot, Jonathan an Ijawman is the President, he's in POLE position to initiate the equity we seek. Mumu, You Igbos has always been bootlickers to any government in power. You Lot led by Nzeribe called for Abacha's life Presidency, you lot supported 3rd term, you lot voted a Yoruba man (Obj) and Hausa man(yaradua) over your cowardlord (Ojucrook) in 2003 and 2007 respectively. That you are licking Jona's butt is of no surprise. You are AGIP and "Anywher you go". Nonsense PS: the Ijaws and Igbos are NOT brothers and will never be. Yes, I was born in Abeokuta, schooled in the north and married an Igbo woman from Ngwaland, such exposure have helped to shaped my disposition to Nigerians. |

barcanista: Hausas and Yorubas may be the worst enemies of the Igbo but the Ijaws sees no one as enemies. You vile and hateful bunch. Who takes a naïve fool serious? You are inconsequential! The igbos you so much despise are the one trying to liberate you all from mental and political slavery. The fact that you bought a propaganda sponsored by the Nigerian government in 1966 shows how political bankrupt your generations are. Keep being stupiid while the north trunk stainless pipelines to evacuate your oil for storage. You have down-played the substance of my argument for mediocre self serving. Go and read history of the war. Ojukwu protected Port Harcourt as though his life depend on it from the invaders. 4 Likes |

5 centuries from today when you go into archives on the history of the country formerly known as Nigeria you will read about the 1966 - 70 civil war and you will find accounts on principal role players. Ojukwu will be mentioned. Adekunle will be mentioned. Readers will not miss to see Adekunle's heroism and bravery, neither will they miss to see the stupidity, cowardice and the final betrayal by the fleeing Ojukwu. Whether Adekunle died poor, in bad health or anything else will not be in the archives. Ojukwu died from advanced stages of HIV, that would not be mentioned there either. Ibos psyche has forever been permanently damaged by the actions of Adekunle in the war, and unless they undergo psychological therapy to heal their psychological wounds we should expect vitriols and hatred from them against anything and everything Adekunle stands for. In fact we ought to open a thread dedicated just for Ibos to come in and vent on Adekunle's death. This is the least we as sympathizers can do to help Ibo offload their bottled in steam and hatred. 4 Likes |

MayorofLagos:Oh do indulge my curiosity...what archives are we talking about here? We all know the archived facts of your hero killing innocent civilians including openly and shamelessly boasting about " killing everything that moves"...how more worthy of an archive can that get when tales of your hero's exploits will be told in the exact blueprint of his atrocities to generations of Nigerians yet unborn? Well he is dead...may his soul rest in peace,I can never speak ill of the dead no matter what ..Nigeria shall progress, history is past and gone. 1 Like |

Qelvin: You would never have known that in his entry into Ibo enclaves he declared to shoot everything, moving or not, if it wasn't for archived materials. This declaration is what made him the war hero and a liberator, in addition to his superior intelligence in tactical maneuvers. Its on record that he successfully strategized and commanded, to the shock of Europeans, the first frigate wargame anywhere in the continent of Africa. 4 Likes |
