2015: Mark, Tinubu, Ladoja, Obasanjo hold secret meetings Ahead of the 2015 general elections, the Senate President, David Mark, and former governor of Lagos State and a national leader of the All Progressives Congress , Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as well as former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasid Ladoja Friday, held separate closed-door meetings with former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The President who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party was reported to have visited the former president to persuade him on the need to work for the party and not against the party. The separate meetings which were held at the former President’s hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital may not be unconnected with 2015 elections. The first meeting which was held between Tinubu and Obasanjo with the presence of Ladoja and former governor of Ekiti state who is also Chairman, South West of the APC lasted for almost two hours. While the closed-door meeting between Obasanjo and Mark commenced immediately after he arrived Obasanjo’s hilltop around 2:pm shortly after Tinubu and others were leaving the premises and went straight into another private room of Obasanjo where he held his meeting and finished at 3:45pm. www.osundefender.org/?p=189507 After the meeting, the journalists enquired from Asiwaju Bola Tinubu the course for the meeting. Tinubu frankly replied that he sought Baba's opinion and observation concerning his former deputy who is interested in the presidential race..........(Channnel 8pm ,news) |

Jonathan is a forgone deal. PDP is in between a hard spot and the deep blue sea - If PDP play religious, ethic cards or campaign on competence, Jonathan/PDP will lose. Jonathan has no new ideas - all he can now is to start spending the looted funds to buy as many souls as he can. 6 Likes |

Interesting times. I can bet my next six Months salary that OBJ will not be endorsing a Buhari for the top post come 2015 despite his seeming dissatisfaction with the present regime.I can also include another one Month's pay to bet that that will be amongst the main discuss between OBJ and Tinubu. OBJ will drum it into the ears of the 'CABAL'(Tinubu inclusive), that none of them will be able to sleep with both eyes shut once Buhari becomes president. In summary, the CABAL will rather a Jonathan continue than for a Buhari to come in. 2 Likes |

Tarokboy: Interesting times. OBJ is more interested in what becomes his legacy. You never can tell. Also Jonathan refused to listen to advise - OBJ never anticipated the volume of insults he got when he tried to help Jonathan navigate the difficulties he saw coming (which was largely people around GEJ bringing him trouble). 3 Likes |

egift: Ma'am what Legacies are you talking about?Do you in anyway imply he would want to endorse a man of the masses, an upright individual or what exactly do you mean by interested in what becomes his legacies? I will rather you put it this way,MORE INTERESTED IN WHAT WILL BE OF BEST INTEREST TO HIM AND HIS CROONIES. My dear, a leopards skin will never change even when it uses cream. OBJ will rather flow with the status quo than welcome a new order. (Buhari). 3 Likes |

Tarokboy: Here what OBJ has to say of Buhari: "Muhammadu Buhari as a member of the SMC & as the head of the petroleum dept was by nature taciturn & introvert. But he took any work given to him very seriously & if he failed at whatever he did, it would not be because he did not put his best, in fact, his very best. He was as reliable as he was hard working & honest" – Olusegun Obasanjo ("Not My Will", University Press Ltd., Ibadan, 1990, Pg 59) 2 Likes |

egift: Oga you talk like you do not know politicians with their double mouth so to speak. They will say one thing and do the other, they will call white black and black white. Everybody who is rational knows that Buhari is an upright man, so I do not need baba's quote he made in the 90's to remind me. My point is this OBJ is a crook (pardon my French) as such he will never, I repeat never endorse a Buhari who will definitely change the game. Believe you me, this guys are strategists and tacticians. They marshal out their plans in a thorough and analytical, and they have a good foresight. OBJ is keeping his cards close to his chest right now,but I can assure you that Buhari's name is not amongst those cards. 1 Like |

So keep your consolation to yourself, nobody is interested in it. 1 Like |

I don't get it when people say Buhari is an upright man. A man who betrayed his C-in-C whom he is supposed to be loyal to can never be upright. His C-in-C trusted him but out of greed and inordinate ambition he betrayed his C-in-C to become head of state. Truth is truth. It has no other name. Buhari is full of deceit- Ask Shehu Shagari. Deciet is not truth. Wash Buhari all you like- even with Arabian perfume-you can remove his deceitful nature. The stench of the he-goat resides in the he-goat. 1 Like |

Why not respond to my comment rather than resort to insult? Anybody who does not agree with your view is PDP. Which history has been twisted here? The questions you have to answer are these: *Was Buhari loyal to Shagari? *Did Buhari plan a coup or benefit from a coup plot? * Did Buhari not give Shagari the impression that all was well? You can only market Buhari to the gullible. Subverting the will of the people with gun is not integrity. It is deception. It is criminal. Thus, Buhari is a criminal. He knows very well that if his coup had failedhe would have been shot dead like Dimka before him and Vasta and Orkar afterhim. 2 Likes |

@egift reason, reason with ur head and not ur anus. Even if u are the PA to Buhari, please stop projecting that man to anybody. He is only loved by his almajiri core northern brothers. Stop following politicians like some people follow Tinubu. Keep whatever u have in mind till 2015, then vote Jonathan out with ur vote. This is an advce. No insults intended. Please, reason with ur brain. 1 Like |
