There's something I've come to observe on this earth which has become a craze amongst peeps (specially Nigerians).

Okayz, lemme start with this-

I had an exam, I studied nights after nights and I quietly wished for retentive memory with a huge lump of faith within me, before and after each study.

A friend had the same exam, he spent 80% of his time attending prayer vigils, devoted 10% to reading hoping his prayers would rescue him on the D-day.

Results came out, the contrast b/w my friend's and mine was beyond comparism (in favor of me).


Take ano'er case for a sample:

I hustled hard, applied my brain, made sufficient connections with little or no prayer.
Someone in ano'er world prayed fervently like there was no 'morrow. Not that he didn't work, he did too but he took the prayer thingy so serious that he believed he could only make it outta the prayer. In the end, I end up being the big boy that funds most of my church's project financially, while my other fellow, maintained status quo throughout his life and outta frustration, committed suicide which presumably led him to thy proposed hell fire.

Now my question goes thus: what is the true essence of prayer ( praises exclusive) in xtiandom?
