Hello house, I'm an m.sc economics applicant currently serving in Bauchi but would b done next month. During d course of my registration i mistake by putting m.phil cos i didn't see m.sc in d pop-up, i sent someone 2 pg school and d person was asked to write a letter to the Dean which he did, so i want to ask if they rectify it would it reflect in my application, cos d person was asked to come back in person to check it and dis person is actually busy atm. I'd like any1 wth experience in this change of course ish to help me out wth an answer. pls note, It's not a change of course bt a change of program. Thanks

I think it's a pooling of the scores in your three tests that determines admission. Yes, UI does conduct interviews. Three tests in all - English, Departmental, and the oral interview.
Re GPA, I don't think it's a problem.

Great applicants, you need to be wise in this your journey of admission. Don't fall for any antics of following up your admission, as such is tantamount to absolute deceit. You have the potential of doing exceedingly well in your exam(s). Put in you best, peak is in you. I believe you are all intellectuals. Many of us that started this forum made it without knowing a student of UI let alone a lecturer, that is my cent.

Pls, can someone confirm these education courses in pg UI; educational measurement and evaluation & Curriculum development. Pls ur response will be appreciated if its been offered.

drpialabi: yes. A bsc stat or maths can apply for msc biostat. Msc med stat(biostat) is also different from msc epi n med stat

Eligibility is a big word! But then there are people with Bsc. Microbiology in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics.

what made den eligible is dat they had a minimum of 2:2, they passed their eng proficiency test as well as d departmental test and interview. The tin is dat public health is versatile so students from a number of disciplines are admitted if they do well in their tests.

i think you are elligible provided u v a grade which is not less than 2-2. U'll also v to prepare well for the departmental test cos u'll be competing wt so many drs who r used to the pattern of questns u'll be asked ryt from there undergrad days. I can assure dat u can beat dm all if u prepare well. Looking forward to seeing u @ d dept next session.

Please house, I've a bsc in microbiology with a cgpa of 4.4/5.0. I put in for Virology in d faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. I'm not really sure about the admission requirements and the question of whether I'll be admitted into the dept keep popping up in my mind. Please, someone should please give me a breakdown of what they look out for in BMS..I'll be writing the IELTS on the 25th of this month, can I send UI the result in lieu of the English language general test? I live in Abuja and traveling to and fro Ibadan is gonna be quite tiring. Thanks in anticipation.
