This is from wikipedia

I think it is wrong.

If Oranmiyan established oyo.after he left Benin in 1300AD it's illogical to say 1400 is the period oyo was established as Oranmiyan must have been way over 100yrs old

Oyo was most certainly founded around 1320 AD or earlier

This is why some people want them to include Ifa into school in secondary school. The reason some people want it been taught in secondary school is that. Ifa is mostly the history of the people for century. When they talk about gods.. they were talk of human who were part of history. and what they did is what they coded into odu ifa.. And they now tell the story.

So ifa is basically the history of the people and how they solve the problem. some people want it, some people dont want it.. be taught in schools. just like islam and Christian is taught in school.

True talk musiwa.
odu-Ifa is the collection of history, culture, traditions and spirituality of the Yoruba

It's only slave mentality caused by foreign evil religions- Islam and christianity that cause people to insult Ifa

Ifa is just history book, because they had no books.. so they were smart to code their history and teach their children their history. This is what ifa is about..

There is a different between someone reading the Quora or bible and practice Islam or Christianity. Because you read the bible does not make you a Christian. Because someone learn about Ifa, does not make them africa traditional worshiper .

There is a different between Ifa and africa tradition religion..
It is like the bible. There are prophet in the bible. you read about... for reading about a prophet does not mean you will do what he did. So a person can read about ifa and not practice the religion. alot of old nigeria pastor read ifa.. but they dont practice the religion.

If you look online most people dont know their history.. Even 50 year old, dont know their history.. alafin of oyo too was a baale , the oba of lagos was a baale of lagos, etc... this is the history of the people.. They only change the term to oba..

Christianity does not say, a person can not read to know about other people culture or believe system.

read to know about other people culture or
believe system.
Even if christianity says so...does it also say a person shouldn't know his history and knowledge of his ancestors?? Cus that's wat Christians do

Christianity is a slaves religion...
