i think Nigeria is different from the aforementioned countries. It is more of a political and ethnic complexities rather than military capabilities. Former US ambassador to Nigeria Walter C. is of the opinion that the Nigerian army is being compromised from within.

At the presence of the Nigerian army,BH devils strengthened their capabilities.

Few years back their campaign focused on bombings(pure terror),the availability of weapons(mostly from the army) and resources made them the deadly force they are today able to field army like formations for battles.

There's a difference between a "military" and an "army". If the Nigerian "military" is compromised from within, then the issue is very much that of "military capabilities".
