Not all rappers can free-style, Jay-Z as big as he is in the art, he can't free-style. And BTW, name 3 naija rappers that can free-style. And I don't mean dropping 3 bars.
Yap. But freestyle doesn't necessarily mean you have to deliver sick punchlines or out of this world metaphors na. Besides Jay z might not be too good in freestyle like Eminem e..t.c but to spit 16bars which equals 16lines he will do wihtout blinking an eye. I just did a search and found a vid of him free styling. Tried to post the screen shot but I dunno whats wrong.

Perhaps I was too hard on Macky but the guy popular for in country so I kinda expected something. 16lines na small thing na.

By 3 bars you mean how many lines? Mi, Modo, Vector can freestyle if the occasion rises.

They were all chilling and they decided to rap while playing the drum so they told him to rap to the beat since he is a rapper. He was hesitating and trying to come up with excuse not to rap,Tayo now asked him bluntly are u gonna sing or not,Tayo shunned him and continued with others.

Actually, why I lept to the guy's defence is because of the situation in which I felt you were judging him. There is a naija rapper some few years ago (MI or Ice-prince I can't remember clearly) that after a programme, he was told to free-style, he was like he couldn't free-style, and believe me most naija rapper can't do impromptu free-style. Obviously, any rapper should be able to do penned down rapper, but only few like EM, Nas, I really know can do impromptu free-style, even at that they can't deliver any sick punchlines or witty metaphors, but they will sure drop some cohesive and coherent rhymes.

Na bad thing to cram? Its not even realistic to come up with sick lines in matter of micro seconds which is what freestyle demands. But with some pre crammed lines or stand by rhymes, its much easier to freestyle. So far you add something that has to do with your immediate environment birthed via quick thinking.

I think vector did a freestyle diss to Rukus on rhythm 97 fm.

Lol. I didnt judge him. Actually if you check, I praised him yesterday that he flowed well on the beat on stage.

Exactly my point. I wasnt expecting jaw dropping metaphors but atleast 6 to 8 lines should have done the trick.

E be like say Tayo papa been do town crier work for village. The guy beats the drum almost always. He dey show im talent.

JJ has auditioned for Telemundo times without number but didnt make it. 247 the guy dey play guitar to show he needs an imaginary lover more than what zim sent him to do. He dey show im talent.

The Namibian dude is an R and B singer. He plays the guitar and sings well too. He dey show im talent.

The ghanian dude is a poet. He freestyled some dope poetic justice ish yesterday times without number which I regret not paying close attention to. He dey show im talent.

But our not just rapper but a popular one back home, has never been caught spitting d..oPe shiit. Ogini?

I think Nas can freestyle. Did you watch Ice-T's rap documentary produced in 2011 or '12, Nas was featured in it, with a freestyle session. If you watch it, you will know he wasn't prepared for it.

This season looks like it's gonna be really wack. Will give it a week, 10 days maximum.
The Nigerian housemates seem kinda cool, nonetheless. But seems they love picking Nigerian female reps that talk in the stereotypical "Naija" way. Maybe it's for entertainment purposes, idk.

They say this season is only gonna last 63 days or something like that? I haven't been keeping up on facebook, can someone fill me in please.
Is it like they're gonna be eliminating three people every week instead of two?
