Now that it is obvious that SA is diplomatically fighting Nigeria By Simeon Nwakaudu Arms Deal: Plain facts to indicate that South Africa (SA) is playing a dangerous diplomatic evil game against Nigeria. *Only the politically naive in international relations would assume that the seizure of funds have been accidental and procedural. *The South African newspaper (City Press) confirmed today that documents found on the two Nigerians and One Israeli had a sign off end-user certificate personally issued by National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki meant for the arms transaction. The certificate included the official list of items to be purchased: Implication: The NSA office and relevant officials contacted SA hence the certificate was issued and due process followed. Despite this, SA seized the money and announced the transaction via the media. *Fact: SA National Prosecuting Authority admitted according to City Press that an invoice was raised in SA for helicopters and armaments intended to be used in Nigeria with the $9.3m as the fund to consummate the purchase. Implication: since the arms invioce was raised in SA, the SA govt was fully aware, yet it sent its customs, journalists and officials to way lay the covet operatives. This was a premeditated diplomatic infraction aimed deliberately at ridiculing Nigeria. *On the second seizure of $5.7m, it's even more regrettable and un-African It is confirmed that Cererus, a duly registered arms company with the SA National Arms Conventional Control Committee, officially received R60m (sixty million rand) from a Nigerian company to buy arms, but the company's registration expired shortly after the bank transaction. The company applied for re- registration but SA refused to grant the request, leaving the application to lie fallow for two months. The company tried to effect a refund over the failed supply, but SA govt stepped in and seized the money and frustrated the bank transfer. If the first was cash, the second was through official bank transaction. *Implication: The SA govt deliberately denied the company re-registrationn so it could seize the money and as planned release the information to the media to achieve a hatched scheme to stand in the way of Nigeria. NOTE: these facts are incontrovertible. The only point that stands out is the division in Nigeria where opposition and pro-opposition elements work to denigrate Nigeria without objectively analysing the situation. The second deal was not a cash transaction, yet SA got a court to order the seizure of the money. ACTION: It is high time Nigeria took definite action against the SA and their deliberate diplomatic infractions to frustrate our war on terror. Nigerians will recall the Yellow Card diplomatic slap and how the FG retaliation resolved the matter. SA stand to lose more in the event of full diplomatic confrontation. This is the time to hit back. As usual, we will expert opposition elements and their colleagues to support SA and their government. Their sponsored media associates will start singing the familiar tune and SA will be further emboldened to continue their ugly diplomatic infractions. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

duni04: Jet that have been leased to a 3rd party?.. People buys cars and give to transport day in day out.. So if the car becomes involved in maybe smuggling.. The original owners should be arrested abi... Is anything wrong with d pastor supporting Jonathan?.. Why are Nigerians sooo concerned about the fact that the original owner of the Jet is a pastor and yet dismiss the fact that the FGN said the money is for procurement of weapons... ..nyways.. Read the post again... If the national security adviser signed those documents.. They are legal binding and SA are just try to pull a stunt.. If they need money.. We can help.. But not by them trying to pin it on rubbish.. 1 Like |

blacktech's right! 1. In a porous & divided govt administration as u got in 9aij, with the dubiousness of BH sympathisers even within govt ranks, it might not be easy 4 govt 2kip yapping abt all its covert moves & stil stay onpoint (&winning) in its fight against terror. 2. SA definitely has a bone 2pick wiv 9aij; else, why wld dey make it such a big media issue ahead of consultn d usual diplomatic channels esp after sighting d EUL issued by d NSA. U dnt get EUL's like dat except frm d SSS, IG etc (e.g. we did, a few yrs back, jst 2bring in small stuff like full-body scanners, ppe, ied detectors, wave jammers etc). One for a direct deally frm top govt like NSA & i woulda been doing stuff sipping tequilas on some warm beach right now. So, dat level of documentation, offices concerned shoulda earned 9aij som serious level of diplomatic courtesies as we nid all d help wt d war against terror right now; and not som hate-mongering diplomatic fencing wt d same "Southies" our parents held solidarity marches 2bring outta apartheid jst a few decades back! On a lighter note, na dis kinda news dey get my palm itchy, be needing 2make a few calls 2 awon uncles, mofos & goons mi...., Abeg, nor be only TAN go chop dis season. N'land, c ya in a few, bye!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

I think seriously that S.A is taking a bold step at helping us to fight corruption. To me, some big boys are merely using the boko haram issue/ the NSA office as a conduit to launder money. To start with, the arms dealing company in S.A, is Nigerian owned. Any serious coy looking forward to secure a multi billion naira contract ought to have put it's house in order. The Nigerian government should be truthful. But unfortunately, it cannot be truthful. As a sovereign nation, trying to strengthen ur home security against terrorism, there is very legal seal at ur disposal to do so openly. And if u must go back door, our president should have allowed the S.A president to be in the know in confidence as well as explain ab-initio, the reason for the covert purchase of arms . We are not fools. And I think that our security operatives. Most specially, the customs officers at our borders, have cases to answer. Or how can we explain the source of arms and ammunition for the Boko Haram. Someone is deceiving us somewhere. The monies seized were meant to be laundered and not truly for arms to buy weapons to fight insurgency. At least, Nigeria governments in time past have purchased weapons from the international communities before now, without hullabaloo. So y now. Some people are seriously hiding under the our misfortune to siphon money and I think that S.A government got this coming. 1 Like |
