To reduce the fast rising population of Nigeria,the
house of representatives has in the past 3days been
debating on the same technique China is presently
using to counter their population problem,one-child
per parent law.

According to a correspondent of FNN,the bill to
have one-child per parent has been a topic of huge
debate in the house of representatives and a reliable
source has made an assurance that it will become a
law before the year runs out.

Nigeria,the most populous black nation with a
population of 168.8million,has been undergoing
several reforms lately mainly to meet up to the 2020
vision of making Nigeria a country with one of the
best economy in the world and recent debates have
concluded that the best approach to this vision is to
first control the population.

Experts have praised this development but various
critics have condemned the approach saying there
should be freedom of childbirth and that,Nigeria’s
population is one of the reasons the country is excelling in various fields including being the giant of
Africa.
