Funny thing is the so called osu's are always very beautiful, even many of their men are said to be very rich and succesful, so i heard.
I was discussing with a friend days ago, and told him him that if i find a girl to marry and she happens to be osu, ill go ahead even if my parents objected for instance. He then reminded me that the ummunna will disassociate themselves from anything concerning the marriage, of course this got me thinking...... I have the feeling that 'some' of the pretty girls who are of marriageble age who you see in marriage seminars may be the osu thingy denying them marriage, cos sometimes you begin to wonder why such a beautiful girl isnt married

Anyway, aren't you half-Itshekiri? Well, most of your people have Ijebu ancestry. And a lot of semi-autonomous Itsekiris still maintain their Ijebu links. Also your language is allegedly closer to the old Ijebu language, than the current one. That is why it is always great to study history and migration patterns.

I think a certain Prof. Sagay is one of the foremost Itsekiri historians out there. You can get some of his works on Itsekiri history on google scholar.

Off the top, I know Omadino and Ugborodo clans of Itsekiri migrated from Ijebu waterside. And they still maintain their Ijebu links by being semi-autonomous. There are a few others. Then you have Ode Itsekiri, Ode Ijebu or flip it to Ijebu Ode, and Ode Remo. One big family but you can post the stereotypes if you want lol.

Itsekiris were also big slave traders like the Ijebus lol.
