I rooted My sis p5 and flashed recovery image using recovery tools. But whenever I try to back it up by pressing the power and down volume button, it uses to bring out a Chinese language which I don't understand. Pls I need help to reboot in English Pls.

u either use a system that has ADB driver and mtkdroidtools , or you download the cwm image and flash it with recovery tools..

it's power and vol up, but just like others it'll probably reboot normal instead of recovery, and you also probably can't perform a factory reset, so you have to do it the manual way with windows and mtkdroid tools.

if your having problems flashing cwm, steps::
install pdanet+ on windows
connect phone via USB and install your p5 mtk drivers from pdanet+
install mtk droid tools on windows
connect your rooted phone
wait for mtk to recognize
click on recovery tab
click create new recovery
after click install recovery
reboot into CWM 5.x
congratulations..

please house; rooted my p5 with framaroot and installed CWM recovery successfully after a (Mtkdroid tool + Pdanet) and later the CWM backup. Everything is working fine except that i can no longer copy files between my phone SD card and my PC. the phone tends to restart each time usb file connection is enabled. pls is this normal of a rooted phone ? Do i unroot , flash back stock ROM with flash tool or simply do outright CWM recovery restore? coping is an essential phone process to ignore

you must root before backup... Or you can also not be rooted and still flash a recovery.... But all the same u must have a custom recovery before doing a full backup

Open the recovery tools app and grant super user access

Go to flash recovery
Choose "other from storage"

Locate your recovery image you downloaded
Then it will prompt you a message

Choose "yes"

Wait for it to finish then it will prompt you another message again

Asking you whether to reboot to recovery

You can either choose yes or no

That's all ...if u wanna know if it flashed your recovery will be blue in color
