I've experienced lots of things in life that made me realize how brainwashed people can be.
And i kept thinking, what if all the things i've been made to believe are actually wrong?
The christains thinks they are the only one that is saved (whatever it means).
The muslim will say only islam is the true religion and every other persons are infidels and will be destroyed.
The atheists are strongly convinced that there is no God. And they also believe anybody that believes in a supernatural power has been brainwashed.
And one thing i also realize is that people's religious belief tends to be biased towards what their family's beliefs were. E.g if u are born into a christain home, u will generally think christainity is the only true belief. The same goes for muslims and atheists.
After seeing all this, i decided to find out which belief is true, without biases.
So, pls stay tuned to know what my discovery is.

Pls don't mind the title. I have not yet stated my belief. Pls just follow the thread, and u will see in an unbiased view if truly there is no God, or there is.

In order to find out the real truth, i decided to be a freethinker. And as a christain from childhood, i stopped considering myself as a christain.
And i also thought, Is it even worth my time to find out if a God exists or not? Why can't i just live the way i want (as long as i don't harm others). What will i gain or lose if he exists or not?

What will I Gain if a God exist?
- it gat me thinking about life. Okay, im very successful, rich, i have a great family, i'm very famous... And then i die. Then what have i achieved. I thought about people like Rockerfeller, Winston Churchill, Awolowo, Michael Jackson, Dora Akinyuli e.t.c. They are all dead. So, does it means after i die thats the end? Then whats now the meaning of everything. We just live, wake up in the morning, eat, go to work, come back home, eat and sleep. And the cycle continues the next day. Then i realize if there is a God, i will be able to live on even after i've died.
- Then again, i thought about all those evil people. People that murdered someone in my family and got away with it. All those people that steals our country's money and get away with it. All those people with power that i've wrongly oppressed me and i'm powerless to fight back, will they just go scot free? Then i realized it will be nice if there is a God that will punish these sorts of people.
- Again, what if i just find myself in an hopeless situation, won't it be nice if there is someone out there that is very powerful and can help me out?
So these are the advantages that would make me want to believe in a God.

Why do these "doctrines of peace" contain gruesome acts of evil performed by these "gods"...

What will i lose if there is a God and i pretend he doesn't exists:
Well, only one thing comes to my mind - Hell.
As much as i like to believe there is no God, what if i die today and i realize my belief has been wrong. And infact, that God is angry with me for all my sins (including denying his existence) and then he orders me to hell 4 ever. Can i afford to spend 24 hours in a hot burning fire talkless of forever? Try putting your hand in a burning stove.
So, this made me to realize it is truely worth my time to find out if a God really exists.

I never said she is going to hell now. I only said, i fear i might go to hell if i become like her.

After deciding it's truely worth my time to find out if a God exists, it gat me asking this question - What is God? These are the answers i found:
1. (in Christianity and other

2. (in certain other religions)
a superhuman being or spirit
worshipped as having
power over nature or
human fortunes; a deity.
These definitions have one thing in common - A God is a supernatural being that has power over nature. So, what is nature? Nature is:

physical world collectively,
including plants, animals, the
landscape, and other features
and products of the earth, as
opposed to humans or human creations.
2. the basic or inherent
features, character, or
qualities of something.
The next stage got me asking this question - Is there any realistic proof of a supernatural being (God / gods) influencing nature or having authority over nature?

1.Atheists have a "pretence" and believe an idea of "no god";
This as i've pointed out is silly....and an idea of "no god" isn't an idea....you can't have an idea that doesn't have a definition nor proof..... e.g can you have an idea of a married bachelor?

2."god" has to be real else we are all loose canons;
If this is true why aren't atheists the most people in jail or commit crimes.....despite the veil of dignity around religions they commit vastely more atrocities than unreligious people...

@ davien i think my post is as unbiased as possible. These are the points in my posts:
1. First i asked myself why should i (not you or anybody else) bother if there is a God or not. Then i listed the advantages i will stand to benefit if a God exists. And the things i might suffer if he exists and i say he doesn't. After examining both, i realized its worth my time to find out if he truely exists or if its just an imagination of human minds.
2. The second stage is where i will prove (to myself) without biases if he exists or not.
If after reading my posts u still accuse me of wrong belief, then i will have to say u are more brainwashed than myself.
