olayincar:how do you know she was instructed to abort the pregnancy That's her side of the story which we know MIGHT be short of truth.Nonetheless, that has not warranted the adoption. I believe there are some missing facts to this story 2 Likes |

every story has two sides and as far as i'm concerned i have only heard one, secondly the child does not belong to only you,it belongs to the father and the mother in that order as Africans,so please dont think uk law applies in nigeria.if you have a problem with his family,i advice you go and mend fences not come online 1 Like |

Story is not adding up. How come she cannot name the father and grandmother? How come she does not know their Nigeria address or relatives? How is it that her own family are not involved? And how did the grandmother get on the plane with the child? Just like that? 1 Like |

If true, Nigerian EMBASSY (london) needs to call Govt House, (Rivers) who then need to dispatch a 'kidnap recovery team' to the grandma's address. Hope the woman at least knows her surname and rough location in 'Port' I have pity for the girl but also sympathy - seems she had unprotected sex out of marriage with a useless man with a wicked mother. 7 Likes |

fireforfire:why you guys like going to conclusion before hearing the whole story. let assumed he actually ask her to aborted the child but she refuse that does stop him from being the child father. and after 2 years he realise his mistake and want to take responsible and for some reasons he can't stay in the uk. you guys should know he has zero chance of winning a Child custody in UK because he has to proof that Nigeria is better environment for the child to grow than UK and the term ‘parental responsibility’ is used to describe all the rights and duties that parents have towards their children, for example, in making choices regarding: Their education Choice of religion or atheism Acceptance or refusal of medical treatment What will happens in the court room? If he go to court he will need to explain his reasons for wanting custody. This is done in front of a ‘family panel’, which usually consists of three magistrates. The magistrates will ask each parent questions about why you want custody and what your proposed arrangements would be. They will ask about how you will care for and provide for the child. What will the solicitors ask me? The solicitors for the other parent can ask questions about his lifestyle, finances, home arrangements, etc. They may also bring up any potential problems, such as violence, neglect or poor communication. A court welfare officer may be appointed to assess the family home life (which will be in Nigeria) and provide a report to the family panel on how he care and interact with the child. They may also speak to the child to learn where they would like to live and why. If he can't reach an agreement, the courts can make orders under Section 8 of the Children Act 1989. It is always advisable to have representation in court since appeals to the court are very expensive if something goes wrong on the day. Getting it right the first time with a specialist solicitor can save you time and money in the long run. |

How do you guys know the lady herself is saying the truth? Does she has any credibility? If care is not taken, the baby was taken away from her because she was deemed to be unfit to raise the baby. More over, I'm not sure she is the sole custodian of the baby, let alone has anything to offer the little girl. If she had a case, a lawyer would have taken it up by now. This might be another case of free-loader desperately using unsuspecting victim to take care of her ravish lifestyle, by using the baby as a blackmailing tool. 1 Like |

Off course she's heart broken, her meal ticket was seized from her, this could affect the housing and child care benefits she gets. Temmy you need to calm down, your baby is safe hands, her nan obviously wants her to have a proper upbringing which arguably, you're unable to provide. Lets not get carried away, we are Nigerians & we know according to Nigerian custom, the man owns the kid. Be nice & focus on your Uni, with time you will re-establish contact with your kid 3 Likes |

I really don't know the guilty party and frankly, i don't care. What i care about is how the grandmother was able to board the flight with the baby. This is a pure case of Kidnap. If you take somburris child without their consent, it is called kidnapping and you could be jailed for it. All she needs to do is report to the police and they'll take it from there. 2 Likes |
