I graduated from UNN (2012), the worst part is UNN charges 35k for each copy of transcript sent outside the country! while within nigeria is 15k, imagine the daylight robbery. you place a request for your transcript online, pay with your atm card. the website says it shouldn't take more than 2wks but from my last experience it took about 4wks to process and another 3days(they use courier, u pick between dhl and fedex) to send within nigeria, though some people have got theirs under a week. it is a matter of luck

Oga dont com here and start sayin sometin u havent researched properly i knw of a student in Yabatech dat after graduating, he applied for transcripts (after result has bn issued to him), dats wen ur almighty sch cudnt find his file.

U want me to start mentioning schools, here they are:
Laspotech
Lasu
Unilag
UNN
Lautech
oou

if u apply for ur transcript in any of dis schools it taks forever to get it, n dis ar top placed schools in nija o.

Pls lets call a spade a spade Nigerian schools ar pure nonsense.

it is a thing of luck, my school(UNN) usually takes 2wks from the day of application for it to be processed and received at the address. some have had theirs in less than 2weeks but i also know some whose took 2 months.

I doubt if its a matter of luck in Lasu tho, as long as you apply online and pay, then you go to the office to identify yourself, the transcript will be processed, people shouldn't come online and say things they aren't sure of.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by einsteino(m): 5:42am On Oct 10, 2014
ok glad to know there are schools that are swift in transcript processing. however i think you having to go to the school defeats the purpose of an online portal, i mean if i could travel down to my school why would i apply online? my matric number should be enough identification. please how much does transcript cost in your school? i hope to make a case for ours to be reviewed downwards, so i would appreciate any info on the cost of transcripts in other schools that would help me prepare the data i would present to my school.

The reason one has to go is to actually meet the courier guys, choose the one that favours you and pay for it in person. Transcript in my school is 5k, den u pay for courier, the price of that depends on the recipients location. Have a 30k budget, I guess you're school is in the east?

wow that is alot better than mine. yh UNN is in the east, with 20k at most should cover the cost of one transcript for you. with ems it will be alot cheaper.

People like to live in denial, i can't imagine asking my school to send my transcript abroad, it would never happen. What we do is get the copy from them then send it through DHL with the school address as sender.
That way all headaches are avoided, though i never sent transcript to any school via mail, i saw most schools who wouldn't accept an online application and scanned copy of my transcript as being rigid.

5. My Current Appointment Letter
6. My Payslip for six months
7. My valid passport which will expire in 2016
8. Office I.D Card

Reasons for denial

they cross some boxes with the following reasons
1. they said, you have not satisfied me that you would leave canada at the end of your stay. in reaching this decision, i considered several factors, including:

a. your travel history
b. length of proposed stay in Canada
b. purpose of Visit
c. Your current employment situation
d. your personal assets and financial status.

above mentioned are the crosses they made

From all what u have listed as a reason for TRV denial, I can deduce that either you made some omission in your forms like that of the item (a) May be u did not fill the travel history space in the form cos u cannot afford to omit any space in ur form
B) maybe u omit that tooo or u don't even mention how long u are going to stay in ur SOP
C) may you didn't even bother to write sop
D) u did not not give details about ur current employment like ur position , duties and so on
E) they asked you for your personal assets maybe because of your age, or because they can see you are earning good cash from the look of your SOA.... Just try and go through your form and see where the mistakes come from... Bless you

But then with the new system, getting a transcript is fast and easy. Shikena
