"THE RICHES" The unemployed graduate will learn a lot from this classic! * And since we are talking about Nollywood movies, I've never felt a Nollywood movie so real (even though film-tricked) like a particular scene in "Red Mafians" * Wakidi's cult assistant (that dude always saying "basketball no be dwarf game" and another fellow cult member killing a student, kicking him down repeatedly if he tries to stand, asking him to pull off his shirt in a remote area before macheting him to death face up on the ground! * Is it just me who sees that scene like a real life experience or something? I wouldn't like re-watching the scene at all! Too well-crafted by the makers of that movie! * Nigeria has a bunch of dope-brained directors: Teco Benson, Simi Opeoluwa, etc! Heard that Teco's famous "Broad Daylight" was banned by the federal government for that unprecedented technique of attacking a cash-carrying-convoy along a road in uninhabited area by unfolding a tapoline connected to ropes on each end and held in the side bushes by the attackers before unfolding it and coming out to attack as expressed in the movie! * BTW, what's up with Teco Benson? Where is that son of a gun? * THE GAME (although Ghanaian) is one hell of a movie too! I still watch that subliminal movie up till now! It remains an eternally phenomenal work put out there by Ghana's very own Frank Rajah! * Even though THE GAME is rumoured to have been a copied Bollywood film, mehn, I see "the peak of human intelligence" written all over that movie! * A friend Lilian knows every line of that movie! |

mayo47: Damn! I love that Nollywood classic! So so real! I'm still looking for that movie! * Tell you what! Inasmuch as my siblings loved it, they always dreaded her ghost appearance that they cut its C.D plate and threw them away! * They admitted after we looked for the movie in the house! At first, we all thought one of us may have borrowed it out and forgotten! * But earlier this year, the truth was revealed by Esther! Hahahaha! That movie rings bell in our house! |

Some mumuz feel watching Nigerian films makes em local, you are highly on your own. I watch Nigerian films, I enjoy em, I am a Nigerian! I also watch American movies, heck I watch more American tv than Nigerian cause Americans are the best in entertainment, still I enjoy Nigerian films as well. You can strike a balance or even pretend to be patriotic sometimes. Not feeling funky forming "anti nollywood". Monkeys! 1 Like 1 Share |
