I used to defend keshi. But dropping mikel and inviting iheanacho is the only way Nigeria can move forward. Alot of players he has dropped shud never play for Nigeria again. Especially those with discipline issues. But a players like iheanacho must be invited asap. The guy is a different quality, even at the tender age of 17. How old was cristiano ronaldo when he made his Portugal debut? Neymar? Messi? We have a real gem in our hands, let's help him develop |

Judging from Keshi's scorecard, I think his era with the super eagles can effortlessly be predicted to come to an end regardless. The Afcon trophy under his belt is no prowess that garnishes him with the impetus of toying with a stage of actors over a 100million Nigerians are always keen on seeing farewell even as the fear of loosing out on destination Morocco looms. Nothing was picked up from the South Africa game, Instead the team went on from bad to worse against Sudan. Series of confused players, mentally drained puppets left in complete oblivion even from the blast of the whistle @ kick-off and an absolute tactical misfit. I would strongly advice he does away with his headiness and began a quest in search of quick results with players that know how, else he begins to give quite a number the impression he is a "small team" coach. Alot of Nigerians respects this guy called Keshi as well as myself but he isn't reflecting enough pedigree in handling big teams and the chaos that comes with it. He should understand that just as he is egocentric and had always been from time immemorial, this is because he presumes he is of quality and so does alot of professionals assume such a stance when they begin to hit peak performance either for club or country. Players fall out with managers all the time but its up to a head coach to find a common ground and handle that s*** for the sake of best interest. Hmm! Let him understand that if his contract is terminated immediate effective, he may only attract signatory powers from countries of "fourth world" recognition i suppose. Of recent, We have had a clueless under performing head coach who doesn't want to back-down from his "god-like" status and for that reason, other local coaches should be shortlisted for the job now that it's looking all clear we might be needing fresh hands. |

where re the math pro in the house. its time to calculate. even the weakest club side in Nigeria will qualify us from this group. KESHI I saw dis coming wen he started inviting players from China. hahahaha. ain't seen a manager change a winning team. keshi chased all the players that won us Afcon |

tobymichael: Nigerian team has only 2 problems, mikel and his brother keshi. If only mikel can retire, you'll see what will happen. When mikel plays well, Nigeria plays well cos he sits at the centre of midfield. All the ball goes through him, somewhat like fabregas for chelsea, modric, hererra, yaya toure and Gerrard. But he doesn't have the technic and imagination to warrant him seeing the ball so often. We need an exciting, technical player in that midfield. And that's something keshi has refused to do |

josh4eva00:The only wrong keshi has done so far is not dropping mikel. No coach goes around chasing players who feel they are bigger or better than the team. Gone are the days when players withdraw or decline invitations from the coach. Something which was common song with Nigerian players including mikel and most of the players you guys want him to invite. How many times have Nigeria needed those plauers and sent invitations and they declined? He is using those who are ready to serve and that's good. All he needed was to integrate some youths to the first team. The likes of alampasu, iheanacho, nwakali e.t.c should at least be on the substitute bench. And fu**ing drop mikel! |

jasper7:why does mikel gets the whole blame when there are 22 other players in the team excluding the coaches ? Did mikel score an own goal or what? If mikel didn't score what about emenike ,musa and others who kept fumbling? What about the defenders that left the sudanese striker un marked thereby exposing enyeama? So mikel should keep, defend and score? The issue is the team lost as a unit and they whole team should be held accountable not mikel only. And if a team loses the whole responsibility is heaped on the coach .I said it sometime ago that keshi is walking into a trap set by the nff ,and now he is in it. I know by now the nff are already discussing his replacement . 2 Likes |

This can only happen in the dreamland. Former governor Orji Uzor Kalu cannot fix the qualification this time around. Super chicken(s) ,rest, lay eggs and hatch Iheanacho and his teammates. |

jasper7: Keshi had always been leading a factional team and doesn't thrive well in a harmonious one.Go Find out about him during his playing days. It's attitude we need brother. Attitude to the game and nothing else. Sticking to his game of experiments up until now is something we should not only laugh about but caution as well. 1 Like |

Jocdon: I don't think Mba is the answer o! I have watched some of Bastia fc games, and he doesn't even seem to be making the starting eleven there, and Bastia FC is not even doing well in the french league, but Mba cant make their first team. |
Re: Super Eagles Can Still Qualify For AFCON 2015. by jasper7(m): 11:30am On Oct 12, 2014 |
onatisi:You are somewhat right but let me explain how mikel takes all the blame. If he has been given the huge responsibility of leading the team from midfield then more is expected from him. Using fabregas as a case study. Ever since fabregas joined Chelsea, he has been somewhat a leader from midfield. Teams don't have the luxury of attacking chelsea often because most times fab is pushing the ball forward to the attackers. The defenders don't have the luxury of making mistakes cos most of the time, the opponents don't see the ball. Fabregas hardly loses the ball, and 85% of his passes are accurate and creative. So... why won't the attackers play well? If they receive the ball on time and accurately? Musa has to come back to drag the ball from midfield. Mikel should be dropped, onazi is enuf cover for defense. We now need someone who can push attack 1 Like |

Story for the gods, as if other countries go just siddon dey watch us qualify. Abeggi Nigeria's problem is not keshi nor mikel its poor management and decision taking of our sports and country. |

Keshi is so stubborn, arrogant, and full of pride.A single man who has taken the whole of 170 million soccer loving nigerians to sit on a fence is no man to me.Sack him, replace him and the good results we need will start pouring in.Absolute nonsense. |

Every good things come to an end, Keshi did great things for SE but right now, he has lost his mojo, it reminds me of Rjikaard's Barcelona team of 2007. What SE needs is a new start, under a new coach, with new players that have hunger and zeal, while retaining few of the old players. |
