100% agree with you, i was even advocating 75% tax rate.
Also all those vast hectares of land used for crusade grounds are useless to nation building, they should be used for large scale mechanised farming.
so what has happened to all the empty acres in Epe, Benin, Zamfara, Yobe, Osun, Badagry, etc? drive from Lagos to Gombe, there are wasted acres lying fallow its unbelievable.

my friend, you are not thinking @ all

simplisity:
This is y am proud to be a catholic. The way all these generation churches r exploiting d poor masses they should feed and be taken care of is somtin i cannot comprehend. How many of these churches r into missionary work or have motherles, orphanage, old peopls home, incapacited home, etc, to take care of, but almost all these homes mentioned r being taken care of by d catholic missionaries. Pastors r in their well furnished and decorated houses eatin and enjoying wit their wifes and children, while d poor r suferin, they have nothing to eat talk of shelter. I learnt som of my selfless service to humanity frm catholic, althou not all catholic priest r into such selfless service to humanity, but majority of them r into it. If u live d holiest live on earth throu Jesus Christ and u do not have love for ur fellow mankind regardless of religion, color, kind, gender, class, etc, u r nothing but a failure and making heaven is very far frm u. So, reach to people and touch their lives in d best way u can. U dont need to have much befr u touch some ones life, a satchet of water thats worths five naira u give to somone thirst, especialy to som one who cant afford it, can quench his thirst and will a credit to u in Heaven. Judgement will start frm d housing of God, frm d church leaders frst down to d church members. My prayer is that God will pour his wisdom upon His church so that we may know His will and His grace to do his will, so that at last we will all be found in Heaven in Jesus name
See dem! All dis occult pipo.. Dem go stil dey talk... Saint molumba, saint dis saint dat.. U and dem oyedepo and dem chris na d same tin abeg...

I have one question for y'all castigating churches. 1st of all, its not ur money they are sowing, the pastors are obviously doing well without u.

Are u aware of the million these pastors are feeding, the orphans they send to school, the lives of people they have changed with God's help. Now God is blessing them and u dey for there dey run ur mouth wen u neva brush

If indeed the followers r not getting "blessed" while they sow and pay their tithes, wud they continue?

Wealth is required to spread the gospel and I don't see how it bothers u when it not ur money they r spending

If those asking if christ was rich? How did u think he took care of 12 men and their families during the years he was with them
Abi na bread n fish only them dey chop?

Once again, its not your money.so face ur front
No like yet? I dey come.

grin I love this. Large size churches are errected daily on arable lands on the Lagos ib expressway.

For real that land is very arable, imagine the millions that would be fed and jobs that would be created in the agriculture industry, oil prices are falling fas, its time to diversify.

Woe Unto You!...The way you Paint these Men Of God.... For crying out loud They are Human like us that have blood running in through their Veins. They Pray for Breakthrough in their Endeavors right from their early ministries. Am very sure you are the types that turn away for working In the Vine yard, You sees (pastors)them as Puppets believing that you av nothing to gain being a pastor. Now that you are seeing them Flourishing you still wish them Failing. If you think it is easy to make the billlions you are talking about, why don't you plant ur own Church and start making the money. Fools like you. if you are the type into one Career or d other and you witness No positive Breakthrough in it you better Think Twice! Why don't you talk about those Pastors who are still facing big Challenges believing that one day they will reap the fruits of their labour just like the Top Pastors are Reaping theirs now! Think twice before u condemned their Riches. Ask yourself dat can I face and bear the Challenges they had faced far Back on the Past

lie! pastors indirectly tax their members by using scriptures which doesnt mean the exact thing they are saying to create fear, manipulating them that those that sow seed receive blessings n the more ur seed the more ur blessing...you hardly hear them preach 'give to the needy' rather sow seed, pay tithe, month of bliss seed, et al.

"There is no single government input on this premises," Oyedepo told Reuters in the interview. "We supply our water, we make our roads, then you ... say: 'Let's tax them'. For what?" Dr Bishop Oyedepo, how about loots from our thieving politicians? or have you forgotten the tithe that was paid by late General Azazi's accolade from a mega looted fund. That's just one of them.

Don't they sow seeds, pay tithes and give offering in mosque?

Nope! Muslims don't "sow" seeds. They don't give "offerings". What muslims are enjoyed to do is to pay their Zakaat which is not to a mosque or imam, they are to give it to the needies themselves or to an organisation setup for such.

The funny thing about this tithe thing is that those of us dat pay don't complain, those dat don't pay keep complaining and drinking panadol over what should be our headache. You say they are scamming us, we don hear, leave us na. Haba

The hypocrisy of the whole thing is just funny, several of us spend money every weekend to watch english preniership, buy club jerseys, a lot of these monies eventually get to the footballers who earn what some call obscene salaries, even the mere tuning in to watch a match on free t v means you are making cr7 or messi and co richer, but you do it gladly, many of these peeps are even morally bankrupt yet we do it gladly, then when it is a man of God we go all up in arms. What more right does Obama have to a private jet than bishop oyedepo.

For those of you that think they are scamming think again. You think it is easy to just beguile millions of educated people to consistently part with hard earned money without a cause. If it was that easy how come God as powerful as he is 'hasn't succeeded' in making you pay your tithe. U can also try and scam ur neighbour into giving you 5000 naira and see how easy it is. As long as its not your money going to the Pastors, please SHUT UP and leave us tithers to worry about our problems. U can keep dashing ur own money to footballers, celebs, your chick or whatever else works for you
