i just think due to the industrialization of nnewi it needs more infrastructure to help the businesses there and shore up the igr which in turn can be used to other areas...states should not joke with infrastructure in their industrial areas....awka might be the capital but it does not command more importance than nnewi to me

Awka is an eyesore and some people will go back after tou hing down in awka.

You are right and that implies why every part of Anambra whether Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi are developing simultaneously irrespective. That explains why the government is doing 3 malls at the three major cities, they could have said let us do it in the capital. But Anambra people considers the future very well that they spread development all over..

Landlords should be encouraged to re-paint their houses. Many of those 4/5 story's built in the 80's around Nkpor, Obosi needs retouching. A government led campaign on re-painting of those houses will add so much to the beautification of the Onitsha axis

Chino I know that our people will pay without any qualms,but will the money be used for its purpose.
During last year november elections, I was part of the PO's that worked for INEC. We stayed in American Quarters (DMGS precisely),after the elections some of my mates(NYSC corper's from delta) were surprised @ what they saw about Onitsha was totally different from what people use to tell them. One of them(from the west)was calling her relatives to inform them,that Onitsha is different from what people say about it.
for me I just love American quarters in Onitsha,it is well planned. Chino, I think I will agree with you on the Park and pay issue,since it can increase our IGR wink
