On a flight yesterday from Houston to Toronto, a white man who I was sited next to and had struck up a conversation with asked me about the Chibok girls and I was stumped as to what to tell him. Ask yourself when last anybody talked about the Chibok girls? If 200 plus girls can be so easily forgotten, Na me wey una go remember?

I love this Nation way more than you know. I had the opportunity to go live and work in Canada and yet I willingly returned to Nigeria where I currently live. That said, Nigeria is far from a glorious tomorrow. I live everyday in a Nation that has no direction of where it wants to be. No unity, no vision. A nation where the blind are leading those who can see. Where the politicians have terrorized everyone into docility. How does the story of 200 missing girls just fade from our memories just like that? We as a people can't even hold on to one struggle or cause for more than 4 weeks.. That's how the story of the missing billions faded, the story of the NNPC probe by KPMG forgotten, the police pension fund scam deleted, the Stella Oduah car scam closed off, the 9 billion plus seized by South Africa would also go the same way, the subsidy saga unresolved, the Farouk Lawan matter that you would have expected would be easy to solve fizzled out and Lawan is still a sitting rep in the legislation.. Hana Na..

What hands do you speak of? I was almost shot by Nigerian military men in broad daylight for challenging them as to why they were driving against traffic.. Not one single Nigerian from the multitude of cars stuck in traffic even came down to assist me confront them. Infact, the military guys made me reverse on my lane against traffic for miles whilst Nigerians sat in their cars watching such injustice happen. Please don't tell me about joining hands.. Look at the subsidy protest that I was hoping would be our salvation.. As soon as the military guys were deployed, everybody disappeared from the streets.. Compare that with Hong Kongs own protest that is on right now.. Or should I speak about that Lekki road scam? How does the government allow LCC to start tolling a road that they have not even completed? Nigerians protested that toll, one man got shot, everybody went back to their houses..

I have hope for Nigeria, but the sane side of me sees this ship hitting an iceberg before it ever reaches utopia. [/b]
