Relax sisi. It's good the case has been settled. But I don't understand why everyone was attackin you. I see no harm in telling comrades the school you'll fall on if uniport don't admit you. It's them taking it personal, I don't even sense pride about you going to private after you posted you never fancied private universities.
And why are peeps attacking her because she hesistated before giving out her name? It is a faceless forum, some people mightn't want to give out their identity for security purposes, it doesn't mean the individual exhibits pride?

For me, I'll consider the following issues: Basic is a 50:50. You fail and get kicked out, you succeed/pass and get into 200L Pharmacy- losing nothing. But then, are you willing to take that risk? Are you determined enough you'll succeed? Will you shun whatever that might block your success at Basic? Are you hardworking and billiant enough to keep fighting till you succeed at Basic?

On the other hand/Meanwhile, Madonna university is a private and religious institution. I have been there and will give you advise from experience. Pharmacy at Madonna is of high quality, I have been at Faculty of Pharmacy and the equipments there are new and plenty. Philipian Lecturers lecture them(from 200L-500). And there is where you write your Professional exam, failure in that will require you repeat that Level and pay the huge school fees over again. They study hard, just like in Uniport and every other school offering Pharmacy. I'm trying to tell you Pharmacy at Madonna is not inferior to the one you get outside. Heck I've seen Uniuyo Faculty of Pharmacy and I know what I'm saying. Pharmacy there is good, but school fees is high.

once a school is being given accreditation for B. Pharm then, its inferior to none even if its "ajegunle" lecturers that lecture them.

Yes. I think Smartkid mentioned it here sometime ago he was offered admission. Admission there is not generally difficult(combination of oral interview and general questions). To enter nor be wahala, na to survive the tough academic process be koko.

Thanks for the correction. Yeah you're right. Every accredited Pharmacy school in Nigeria is good. Pharmacy accredition nor easy to get, e also dy easy to lose.

Omo if na me wey dy left with these options, I'd chose Madonna, losing another one year is pointless when Madonna is also good at Pharmacy. When you graduate nor be the same certificate you go get? You'll work where other Pharm graduates work. So I see no issue here so long he is financially stable. That one year em go use do Basic, em fit use am run em Msc for say Pharmaceutical science(1yr + 6months) at Unilag or abroad. So long he does not fail any course and SPILLS(Remain at school to pass failed courses) or get suspended at school for breaking rules, he is bound to finish in 5years. No strike.

Personally, since he has the money, if he can face just his studies and obey school rules, Madonna will be okay for him. If he should go for Basic who is even sure he will get admitted next year again.
My sister faced similar situation in the past and she took the wrong shot and is now regretting it. My dear go for Madonna. Study hard and become a good Pharmacist, your school and family will be proud of you. I'll stop here, if he was smart he will make a wise decision.

PHY111 Lecturer: Prof Edebeatu will introduce the Practical aspect of Physics before resuming the main Practical lessons in the Laboratory around early November. I'm trying to tell you, you won't miss much or miss serious issues until November!
Second list is not out yet right? I advise you wait for it first and remain prayerful that you'll get it, if afterall you don't get it( it doesn't mean God hates you). Then we shall start talking about choosing Basic or going for Private university.

Let us assume the list is out already and you don't get your desired ourse in the second list and you're confused about Basic and Private university which is the better choice. Let us look at the cons now.

Social Life: Zero!!! No alcohol at Madonna(though you can buy it codedly at European Market inside school). No clubbing, meeting/gathering except Religious gatherings. No fvcking(but you can fvck at Optometry Building and inside Pharmacy building codedly) < those places are hidden, but if you get caught, one way expulsion. Camera phones are not allowed, but you can own a Tablet, iPad. If you must have android phones then puncture the camera, so you can have a camera-less iPhone6.

Religious activities: Sunday service is compulsory, Catholics worship together, non-Catholics worship seperately, then join Catholics afterward at their church to say 'JESUS the Saviour' Prayer. More Religious activities such as Retreat, and every Catholic days of Obligations are observed. But you will enjoy the school Christmas Carol in December shah.
Lectures is not compulsory, so you can lay idle in the hostel all day, it's no one's business, however Lecturers take attendance at lectures and they are important as they are MARKS.
Students can cook, just with Stove, no gas cooker.
You'll have to be obedient to Hall Reps(hostel prefects) who ensure students do the right things in the hostel. Don't rebel or you'll regret it, but from 300L above, you can.
Security men will harass you if you do wrong things, obey the school laws.

So you see? I've laid down everything for you so you can make your decision On Your Own, O.Y.O. Smartkid, are you smart enough to succeed at Basic? Will you take that risk? Do you trust yourself? If you can't. Go for Madonna, Pharmacy there is top-notch. Study hard, obey school laws, five years will be gone sooner than you think if you focus on your education.
If you can afford the fees, it is better. So can you pass Basic? No? Go for Madonna, afterall they have good equipments, labs, lectrers for Pharmacy students.
