How To Place Order

Get a U.S address from MyUS.com. This costs you a once-off $10 minimum

If you don't have $10, consider other freight forwarders that gives free U.S warehouse address.

Then create an account on our store www.auction2africa.com by clicking "My Account".

Anytime you want to place order on our site for a product and the item description says we ship it to the U.S only, then enter your U.S shipping address given to you by MyUS or others in the shipping address field.

After you checkout, you will see your invoice in your email. It will contain price in USD.

If the system says "Shipping will be calculated later" when you were shopping, you will receive a call or sms shortly after you checkout to tell you the shipping fee involved to ship your item from warehouse to your specified address, whether U.S or non-U.S. You then add this to the amount on your invoice and multiply by 170.

Then pay into our bank account, which also comes with your invoice.

If when shopping you were able to see shipping fee for the item and it was added to checkout price, then you just multiply the total by 170 and pay in Naira.

When paying us, please enter your Order Number in the remark or comment section. That is the fastest way to get your order processed.

It can take between 1 - 5 business days before your item is processed and shipped after we confirm your payment although we will be doing all possible to limit this to 2 - 3 business days. Some will even be processed and shipped same day but we want to manage our expectations here.

We send you tracking once we ship your item.

All items carrying warranty will obviously be a U.S warranty so should there be need to utilise this warranty, please be informed you will be responsible for return shipping of the item to the U.S. We don't expect this to occur often but it has to be said.

4 Steps to Shopping from the U.S and Shipping to your Door

For several years many Nigerians refrained from shopping stuffs online either because they found it too scary or because they suffer rejection, especially from foreign web merchants. Some just didn't have a clue how to go about it.

However, the story is changing, and changing fast. With almost 60 million Nigerians now connected to the internet, more and more shopping will be done on the web, and majority will be on websites from countries like the U.S, U.K etc.

Today, we will go through the steps involved in conducting a smooth and safe cross-continent online shopping, specifically shopping physical products from the U.S and shipping them to Nigeria or rest of Africa.

If you are among those still confused on how to shop from the U.S, follow these steps and it will be a breeze for you.

Step 1. Get all Payment Methods Ready

Most websites selling U.S products demand credit/debit card or PayPal payments. Your debit card is simply your Visa or Mastercard issued to you by your bank or any approved financial institution. Some banks in Nigeria issue debit cards that are not activated for online payments so you want to check with the bank before you get their debit card. GTBank Naira Mastercard and UBA visa cards are however cards activated for web purchases. If you got your Naira Mastercard from GTBank, it must be that you have a bank account with them which is linked to that card. Get your billing address by visiting the customer service desk of any GTBank and printing out a page of your account statement. The address on the statement is your card billing address. Whenever you are asked by a foreign website to supply your card billing address, it is that address you must supply and it must be 100% exactly the way it is written on your account statement. The other details the site will ask regarding your card are the name on card, card number, expiry date and the CSC or CVV2 code. All these are there on your debit card.

PayPal payments require that every time you want to make payment, you login to your PayPal account, which you open free and then verify with your debit card using the same details described above. PayPal will debit $1.95 from your debit card and send a 4-digit code to your account statement. You will see this in the email or sms alert for that debit. You will then use this 4 digits to verify your PayPal account. The $1.95 will later be returned to your account by PayPal so it is still your money. After this, as a Nigerian, each time you are asked by a foreign website to make payment with PayPal, all you need do is enter your PayPal login details and the payment amount will be debited from your debit card associated with your PayPal account. That's all. You won't always need to enter your debit card details for every payment. So go get your PayPal account now on www.paypal.com/ng, verify it and let's move to step 2. With your own U.S (warehouse) address, which the consolidated shipping or freight forwarding company must have issued you, you only need to supply it as your shipping address when checking out or registering on the merchant website. Your item(s) will be shipped to your supplied U.S address which is actually your freight forwarding company address in the U.S but with an extension unique to you e.g 123. This consolidated shipping company will then ship to your Nigerian address on profile at a very reduced cost compared to expensive brand name couriers.
