Yes, we do have gifts and talents, and if only people can look beyond our intimate orientation, but rather how we can all collectively develop, the world would be a better place. 6 Likes |

The Catholic Church has been harbouring homosexuals within its ranks since its inception all the while preaching something else to its parishioners. 2 Likes |

mmsen: hehehe, yeah, homosexuals have been in the church for centuries and the church has always told her parishioners that while the inclination is disorder, it isn't sin in and of itself, she has taught that a homosexual person is as much a human being as any other, is dignified is his existence and must be respected as such. They should be accepted with compassion and sensivity. I can't find the hypocrisy u are talking about. 2 Likes |

Ubenedictus: Much as I see what the new pope is doing as a step in d right direction ,I still maintain that homosexuality is not and can never be a sin! The catholic church should just park well with this their hate the sin and not d sinner jargon.if I as a homosexual is a sinner by default, that means the next man who is a heterosexual is also a sinner and his heterosexual practices also should be considered a sin! All man are born equal, so heterosexuals should stop arrogating themselves with that holier-than-thou attitude they always have towards homosexuals which has always been hugely aided by the church ,mostly catholic as a result of its long years of existence. I am not a sinner and having sex with my boyfriend is not and should not be seen as sinning! The catholic church's been in d fore-front of this hate mongering that has put a lot of innocent souls in harms way for centuries and it's all good that they're are pioneering the start of acceptance and inclusiveness in our age . But just for the records,it's not enough! Full acceptance, equality and acceptance and blessing of same-sex marriages will prolly do it. So pope Francis, well done for the teeny-tiny baby steps but no, I am not a sinner! 2 Likes |

beryl04: hehehe, now that is funny, it seems you'll be interested in writting a gospel according to beryl. Actually catholicism teaches that men are born flawed (read up on it), each in a different way. So no, men aren't born saints and there are pattern of life that doesn't please God. Fornication is one of such act so is the homosexuals sexual acts. That isn't hate mongering, it is love sharing, we care enough to tell you. It isn't born out of hate but out of love. So yeah, each time u have sex with you boyfriend, you commit sin and irrespective of that, or rather because of that, the arm of the catholic church is open, or doors are open. All human will find hope, rest and new purpose in communion with GOd. |

They'll also need to stop opposing women's reproductive rights and discriminating against females. Even al-Qaeda has female leaders than the catholic church. How sexist must you be if Islamist terrorists are more progressive than you! I guess that's what happens when your whole organisation is a sausage-fest full of virgins and pederasts who have no wives or children and no clue about women's issues or the realities of modern family life. For me, this is just another lame attempt to maintain their relevance. When even devout Catholics are increasingly routinely ignoring their nonsensical teachings on contraception, abortion and gay rights; I'm sure the Vatican can see which way the wind is blowing. The catholic church is already on life support in Europe. Young people in America are abandoning them in droves. And with increasing wealth and education, the third world won't be far behind. Their culture of child räpe, cover-ups and hypocrisy has cost them any shred of moral authority they have left. The fact is church is dying and they know it. Unfortunately its the same resistance to change that made them look so solid in the past that will be their undoing. Its fun to watch them flail around desperately looking for a solution. I feel like making some popcorn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myGzvGCgnsc?t=46s 2 Likes |

asalimpo: The Pope's Bible was written in pencil... The Bible is a mess when in comes to many issues. It was written in the bronze ages when some of the issues that we now encounter did not occur. To use such a book as the basis for one's life is the height of folly. 4 Likes |

Smh.. Instead of focusing on the important issue of marriage by choice for Rev. Fathers, bishops and cardinals in order to ameliorate the level sexual temptation, molestations and abused that ve rocked the catholic church in recent years he's talking gay shit.. And one of the reasons given was that catholic church has been losing members to other churches due to its stance on gay shit.. WTF!!! Are laws of the church created to please man or God? 1 Like |

asalimpo: 1. So how does the Bible ask us to treat gays? 2. Don't forget that the new testament was written by Catholics and the Bible was compiled at a Synod of Catholic Bishops in Rome in 382, similar to this Synod. They have the authority to interprete the Bible, not you. 3 Likes |

Is the church accepting them to help change their orientation and inculcate in them that God made it to be between a male and a female or are they being welcum cux they have 'qualities and gift'to offer thereby polluting the body of Christ?hmm some persons need to be reminded the reasons why God destroyed sodom and gomorah. 1 Like |

Breaking: Cardinal Burke says statement from Pope Francis defending Catholic teaching is ‘long overdue’ Tue Oct 14, 2014 - 5:37 am EST In a candid interview Monday, Cardinal Raymond Burke voiced the concerns of many of his brothers in the Synod hall and lay Catholic activists throughout the world that the public presentation of the Synod has been manipulated by the organizers in the General Secretariat. He strongly criticized yesterday’s Relatio post disceptationem, or “report after the debate,” which the Catholic lay group Voice of the Family had called a “betrayal,” saying it proposes views that "faithful shepherds ... cannot accept," and betrays an approach that is "not of the Church." He called on Pope Francis to issue a statement defending Catholic teaching. “In my judgment, such a statement is long overdue,” he told Catholic World Report’s Carl Olsen. “The debate on these questions has been going forward now for almost nine months, especially in the secular media but also through the speeches and interviews of Cardinal Walter Kasper and others who support his position.” “The faithful and their good shepherds are looking to the Vicar of Christ for the confirmation of the Catholic faith and practice regarding marriage which is the first cell of the life of the Church,” he added. The relatio, he said, proposes views that many Synod fathers “cannot accept,” and that they “as faithful shepherds of the flock cannot accept.” The document, among its most controversial propositions, asks whether “accepting and valuing [homosexuals’] sexual orientation” could align with Catholic doctrine; proposes allowing Communion for divorced-and-remarried Catholics on a “case-by-case basis”; and says pastors should emphasize the “positive aspects” of lifestyles the Church considers gravely sinful, including civil remarriage after divorce and premarital cohabitation. “Clearly, the response to the document in the discussion which immediately followed its presentation manifested that a great number of the Synod Fathers found it objectionable,” Burke told Olsen. “The document lacks a solid foundation in the Sacred Scriptures and the Magisterium. In a matter on which the Church has a very rich and clear teaching, it gives the impression of inventing a totally new, what one Synod Father called ‘revolutionary’, teaching on marriage and the family. It invokes repeatedly and in a confused manner principles which are not defined, for example, the law of graduality.” Burke lamented that the bishops’ interventions are not published, while the General Secretariat chose to publish the controversial relatio, which was intended as a merely provisional summary of the first week that is under review by the fathers this week. “All of the information regarding the Synod is controlled by the General Secretariat of the Synod which clearly has favored from the beginning the positions expressed in the Relatio post disceptationem of yesterday morning,” he said. “While the individual interventions of the Synod Fathers are not published, yesterday’s Relatio, which is merely a discussion document, was published immediately and, I am told, even broadcast live. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to see the approach at work, which is certainly not of the Church.” While critics of Burke's public interventions in the Synod debates have portrayed him as representing a fringe, he was elected by his brother bishops to moderate one of the three English-speaking small groups discussing the relatio this week. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/breaking-cardinal-burke-says-statement-from-pope-francis-defending-catholic |

Anyone who followed the build up to this Synod knew this was orchestrated by Pope Francis through his right hand man, Cardinal Walter Kasper. Cardinal Kasper clearly told journalist he had the backing of Pope Francis. Francis on his part clearly said he sees the Conservative Cardinals as his 'opposition'. |
