Due to your political blindness you tended to forget that all projects are not revenue creation intended. You objected to the stadium that would host nigerian matches plus all that could be done there forgeting that the stewpid monorail wouldnt create any revenue. Political bigot

For those goons who dosn't see beyond APC-PDP politics, ask about akpajo road.. D holdup there compares to lagos holdup. The road connects onne port with ph and is one of the most used road in ph. A quarter of that money would have saved people the time spent there. If you wanna go from eleme junction to aba, the road there speaks for it self. I must say Ameachi did a good job during his tenures, but its quite obvious that this monorial was a total waste of income. Whats the gain begining a project you can't finish? Its an obvious fact that the next government won't continue this project. Abeg call a spade a spade

Ur predicament as regards Akpajo road and the entire axis over there should not be put on Amaechi's doorstep. Those roads are core FG roads. Direct ur claims to jonadaaft. So many fg roads amaechi has reconstructed and jonaadaft has deemed it fit not to pay back, so why should he do more. Anytime shepopo comes to town, remind her.

wrong again. If a project isn't for revenue, it's for the public good. Roads, schools, courts, policing, hospitals, and at the present water when it's provided isn't for revenue. But do you want to put an Iyanya concert at the same level as primary school in necessities?

Stadiums are built for revenue. They generate revenue to fund themselves and in some countries add to the economy around them. Governments that build stadiums build it to boost government revenue in sane countries. It's in Nigeria that someone will build a stadium without caring if it will be used. If it doesn't generate revenue how will it be funded? prayer? It will be a permanent drain on government revenue. And for what? To throw Terry G concerts?

and you're really off the mark if you think I of all people support this useless monorail project. I just said it's a useless project because it's a waste of money and won't generate revenue due to not being necessary. You're not countering me by telling me it won't generate revenue?

That was self explanatory. Few roads means few roads in Uyo and this is all you people can show us, nothing more.

dont say what u no nothing about, that stadium is one of his second terms project and who told u it hasnt been completed?

First or second term, it makes no difference, it's still uncompleted and instead of your ignorant garbage, feel free to show us the completion and commissioning.

The stadium holds 30,000 and that's 10,000 less than FIFA's minimum 40,000 capacity regulation.

Bottom line. A state with the largest state budget in the whole of West Africa has less than 5 projects on the table and they are all uncompleted.

A state with the largest state budget in the whole of West Africa didn't build on single hospital.

A state with the largest state budget in the whole of West Africa didn't build one single new school.

A state with the largest state budget in the whole of West Africa basically has less than 5 projects on the table and they are all uncompleted. Not a single groundbreaking or visionary project, none.

Where are the new schools, where are the hospitals, where are the skills centers, where are the parks, where are the maternity centers and clinics where are the state institutions?

The crooked man budgets billions for Ibaka seaport, but even the bush around the so called project site is yet to be cleared, not even fencing sef.

The few roads he built were built years ago and he's yet to commission any project since, so where is the largest state budget in West Africa with just 5 million people going?

8 years with the largest budget in Nigeria and not a single major project completed beyond the same flyover and roads.

Again, keep quiet about that scumbag..

abuloma-woji-akpajo road is a second term project.
iwofe and elioparanwo roads though concieved in his first tenure are officially second term projects.
rumuagholu road project is a second term project
the andoni -opobo unity road is a MEGA project and is still on.in fact many states can't afford to do the unity road.

Amaechi only created the project to steal money from Rivers state. That is why he is using the House of Assembly to pass budget inside government house. APC e-warriors are trying so hard to defend him because they dont want you to no the fraud and corruption involved. The whole project on the ground in not even worth 5 billion. Thats a fact! Amaechi never intended to build a real project. He just followed Fashola's lead and embarked on white elephant projects to steal money

I do not know why sentiments has caused some people to think with their anus!

If amaechi has used that money to build more roads, what do you think would happen? the amount of cars plying PH roads would automatically increase, at the end it would end up solving nothing. it's only a mad man that does the same thing over n over again and expect a different result.

I know its a 50 naira transportation cost, but have you thought about it this way; do you know the amount of cars that would be packed at home, at least for those living along that axis?

PH is already a congested town, so any idea on how to decongest it would be welcomed.

The monorail project can never be a one tenure project, amaechi has laid the foundation stone.

if every governor that follows him would at least add 1km to that rail, before 16 years, PH would be accessible by train all round! and my gosh, what amount of traffic and time that would safe, plus te tourist attraction. Time is money. This is one of the best project by any Nigerian governor....unlike one governor that is going to use 40 billion naira to build just a governors lodge.....smh for some people sha.

Talent in building flyovers in an empty part of town for beautification. Please go and tell the wayoman that flyover is to ease traffic congestion. Stadium to serve as what? Where is the population or great team to attract spectators if not Super eagles? Bad rural roads and persistent perenial flooding. The governor I judge as the best is Rochas Okorocha because he used 130billion to perform wonders in 3years. That is 6months income for Rivers and Akwaibom but Amaechi is far better than other mega rich Governors including Akpabio.

How many more public buses could he have put on the ground with the funds used on this 1 monorail that will carry several times more people several times further? How about alternative roads? If it's a traffic issue he could have built bike lanes for 10% the cost of this project. With the level of access to sea and Rivers he could have turned PH/Rivers into a model for water transport at 50% the cost of this project. He could have incorporated air transport. He could have build a railroad to the next major city (Aba) and a fraction of the cost of this project.

With all that is spent he only has a monorail that goes the same distance as a 50 naira taxi or okada. That's a very sad and deplorable waste of funds

This is definitive mismanagement. I don't care what he did elsewhere, successes in other sectors don't exempt him for error or flaw. If this project was a miscalculation then it was driven more by ego and bombast than ration and necessity and this isn't good. If it was driven by corruption as many are assuming/accusing then Governor Amaechi needs to be checked regardless of his success in agriculture.
And your clueless mind doesn't tell you that with all does balderdash spilled from you being summed up, costs higher than the monorail? Why are Nigerians prone to hating something unique? You went on mentioning projects that are less visionary, short-sighted and tedious. It is no way mismanagement as far as it still serves same purpose which is easy transportation, but in an innovative form.
Speaking of its distance, I would inform you that it didnt just end there, great development begins slowly, you just need vision to know and belief so. Thanks.

Amaechi used to be my favorite governor until his second term. I don't know what happened to him but he has turned himself into a clown. A lot of his projects are admirable and a model for development but he has become comfortable failing as long as he can blame someone in gejs family. He will even do it with a smile
If you were rational enough and genuine in ur thinking, you would known dat as at the time Amaechi was serving his first term performing projects that were admirable and a model for development as u rightly sed, he hadnt any issues with d federal govt (GEJ &PEJ) not until the ill-mannered Patience struck.
