I thought this issue has been resolved? Abeg they shouldn't do this is ooo because we are heading to 20th when WHO would declare us Ebola free..well here is the news... Health workers in the country will begin an indefinite strike on Thursday (today) over sundry issues, including the unresolved leadership crisis in the health sector, non-commencement of residency training programme for health professionals, non-implementation of new call duty allowance and non-payment of arrears. http://www.punchng.com/news/health-workers-begin-nationwide-strike-today/ 2 Likes 1 Share |

For what Are they high They should do their jobs jor!! Didn't they sign oath of bla bla bla? They are people that should even work for charitable reasons not financial gratification being the utmost priority. Government should simply privatize the health sector sef, lets hear word finally then we know who is who... Yipeeee!!! First to comment... I dedicate this space to all my unborn children Using this medium to say: Ladies and gentlemen, beware of BUHARI... He has no good thought for NIGERIA 25 Likes 3 Shares |

Of course, the elephant in the room is the funding problem in the health sector. Government runs too many hospitals, and does not spend up to 10% of the budget funding all of them. And most of the funding goes to salaries. The reality is that Govt does not want to increase the amount health gets in the budget...and at the same time does not want to increase hospital fees. So, we have a lot of problems....and no solution in sight. 6 Likes |

Strike-laden sector. Perhaps privatization will come to the rescue. If not johesu, its nma & its continually swung over all year round like a pendulum. 1 Like 1 Share |
