Hello guys, I am almost there, Thank God! I just got a mail from WES that my assessment has been completed and my report sent by mail. As I didn't request shipping by courier, does anyone know how long it will take for the mail to get to me in Lagos. Thanks |

gfn:Unless its requested from you,you are only meant to evaluate your highest academic degree. Basically, the evaluation response from your school will state the mode of entry into the university. Cheers. |

gfn: YES! you have to get your OND transcript too. I know a friend that entered university via direct entry too and WES told him to get his OND transcript. He had to travel to Offa to get his OND transcript sent to WES which made the evaluation longer. But hey, you have no choice than to go to the Polytechnic where that OND was obtained. The good thing is that you will be evaluated as having 3 year post secondary + another I year again which will increase your total points under Educational Qualification by 1. Best of luck 1 Like |

Hello dear friends in the house. Please I need to verify if this police report/clearance of a thing is compulsory at this stage? Is there anyone here who didn't submit a police report and has been successfully debited? It may sound like a silly question but pls guys I really need to know cos I don't reside in Lagos and it will be difficult for me to travel and get it at the moment. Thank you in advance for your swift and kind response. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by damkollins(m): 5:00am On Oct 16, 2014 |
Kevinoh:It's not a silly question Police clearance certificate is not mandatory at submission stage .Local visa office will surely request for it. Speaking of applicants successfully charged without PCC .....it's uncountable here in Nigeria and globally.Last time i remembered ,I didn't submit PCC too and that hasn't make my application negative . Cheers. |

seemples:Its a dark spot btw WES and academic institutions correspondence as academic institutions in Nigeria will always claim ignorance of the receipt of such correspondences. This is partly due to the non functional systems of Nigerian institutions as some if the officials saddled with the responsibility of checking such correspondences fails in their duty. My advice especially if it's a matter of urgency to you is to send a mail to WES though contactca@wes.org stating your reference number in the tittle of the mail.Let them know your school is yet to receive the verification request and that you would want them to send the verification request to your school through courier and that they should give you options in your account to pay for the sending of the verification cost. They may not respond on same day.......please send them reminder mail everyday on your request .......they will respond back to you an advice you on how to go about it. The idea is for you to pay for courier charge to send it to your school.....that way, your school can get it physically and respond to them via email. Its real and effective in case of emergency . Apart from that, only send mail to them to resend it if your have the grace to be patient . Cheers |

amazingfortune: Of course the FSWP will continue after January, it end in April provided your NOC is not filled up before then. I would advice you to check the status of your NOC, if it is still very much available, then you can still go ahead. 1 Like |

highburygonner: I dont think you have anything to worry about. The document to be verified is your credentials since those ones are from you. Your transcript is from the school so it doesnt need verification again. |

Hello, this is a very educative thread, thanks to all the contributors. Please, I want to know what I should write as my occupation. My current title at work (as stated on my employment letter and reference letter) is System Analyst, but my job roles are those of Database Analyst. Can I put System Analyst in my form and write the NOC Code of Database Analyst and Administrators? Thanks. |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by yomifowe(m): 3:09pm On Oct 16, 2014 |
Jingiri: I believe your order would depend on the amount you would pay, for instance the type of evaluation you choose, postage type (regular mail or express) etc would determine the price that would show up. I advice you either go through the options properly or copy a screenshot here. |
