If you check my threads you will understand my plight,I've been going through some spiritual battle lately,though its been long but became a war lately because I've seek for my freedom

I've been to deliverances and pastors and church members keep urging me to give my life to christ which is the only way out

But within inside me I'm scared of being a born again,it may sound so stupid but its true and I know someone maybe feeling the same way,I'm not scared of being a born again because I hate God,not at all,I actually love God but the list of things "mountain of fire ministries" is giving me to give up makes my heart beats louder

1) MUSIC .... For crying out loud,rap music is the only type of music I relate to,I'm what you call "hiphop head" I'm not just a fan,I'm a partaker,I've done a lot of singles,ready to drop mixtape,though I don't do this as a profession but as a hubby,I'v been following rap music since I was born,I even have a portable studio in my house where I produce,now they said I must give up listening to any earthly music

2 DRESS CODE... For christ sake,this music thing influenced me a lot, they requested I should get rid of my hair,I'm keeping this hair because I've been an active partaker in every year calabar carnival,I normally do one or two crazy things on my hair during the festival ,many people here knows exactly what this cali carnival is all about,its all fun,now must a born again go on a low cut?

3 socializing... This one is the worst,how do I quit all my friends just because they are not "born again" what about my nights out,going to club to dance,have some drink and meet new people,I'll now spend all time reading bible?

If I quit all these,am I still a human being?

Being born again is not about learning to keep some religious rules. It is about being born of the Word and of the Spirit.

An unregenerated soul is carnal in nature and essence and such a fellow live to fulfill and pursue the lusts of the flesh which is totally at variance to the will of God and the life of the Spirit. Such fellow finds it difficult to live without the lustful desires and addictions. He/she live as slave to these lifestyle! Romans 7: 16-25. The irony of this canal state of a man is that though he finds it difficult to do without these things, deep down within him, he hate to do them but he lacks the power to free himself.

Now, no one can be born again merely by willing it. You must first realize that you are a sinner in need of the SAVIOUR just like the prodigal son. This realization must be followed by a genuine repentance I.e. a godly sorrow for evil done and a genuine desire to do away with the yoke of sin. It is after these that The Spirit comes in and cleanse and heal your dirty and broken heart. He makes you a new creature and gives you the power to go and sin no more!

Consequently, those lifestyles and addictions you thought you could not do without become repugnant to you. Living a life of holiness within and without in this sinful world becomes easy for you through the help of the Holy Spirit.

God does not work with numbers. In Sodom, only three souls were saved; in the time of Noah, less than 10 that believed were saved among the inhabitant of the earth; as great as the population of the children of Israel that left Egypt, only two entered the promised land. God is not a respecter of persons. He will honor only those that honor Him.

It is not just about Muslims, even a larger part of Christian who are only religious and not righteous will be disappointed.

False Dichotomy. What if I believe that Allah is God, and that Jesus was merely a human messenger? Is Allah the same as Satan, why should I go to your hell?

What does it mean to be born again?

It is to believe and ACCEPT Jesus as your Saviour. That is all.

However, you would need to start considering whether you want to accept Jesus as your Lord, too. Jesus Christ either rules your life (telling you what to do) or Satan does. There is no middle way.

Lastly, you need to be FREE! The Bible gives and advice:

Ecclesiastes 11:9 says, "Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity."

Another version states it like this:
"Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. Check the lifestyle of the person/people, does it conform and even beats the moral standards of the society? If not, it is false and fake. Avoid it!

It is not by might or power but by the spirit. Make a conscious effort of repentance of your sins and ask God for the grace to live a righteous and holy life. It is through the grace of God that you will be able to overcome.

I love hip hop music, though i don't do clubbing, drink (occasionally) or smoke but I love and think about sex almost every minute of the day to the extent that it almost become a daily routine and whenever am unable to have sex i result to masturbation. In my own case i began to loose interest in hip hop music because I found the lyrics so repulsive because they do not glorify God but promoting immorality, pride, vain words, rebellion against God's word. those ladies some of them begin to smell like rotten fish and delete their number and stay away from some of them. Sex become non issue and masturbation that on countless time I have tried to stop just stop like that. In the past if I stop sex and masturbation for an extended period of time, I will see myself having sex in the dream and most cases i woke up with the strong irresistible urge to have sex putting all my effort to nought, in fact i felt like someone possess with the spirit of sexual immorality.

Whoa! Wonderful testimony I must say. I don't know if you have gone through my testimony before on this forum. I was also a sex addict that the SAVIOUR graciously looked out for and saved when all hope of redemption had fail.

Mine was worse because I made life difficult for my beautiful and loving wife, infected her with STDs. But God did not allow me to perish and destroy my life and marriage with my useless lifestyle. He loved me even when I detested myself! Thank you Lord for saving this undeserving soul!
