Nota bene (/ˈnoʊtɑːˈbɛnɛ/; plural form notate bene) is an Italian and Latin phrase meaning "note well".

The phrase first appeared in writing circa 1721.

Often abbreviated as "N.B.", "N.b." or "n.b.", nota bene comes from the Latin roots notāre ("to note" ) and bene ("well" ) .

It is in the singular imperative mood, instructing one individual to note well the matter at hand.

In present-day English, it is used, particularly in legal papers, to draw the attention of the reader to a certain (side) aspect or detail of the subject on hand, translating it as "pay attention" or "take notice". While

"N.B." is often used in academic writing, "note" is a common substitute.

A postscript (PS or P.S.) is writing added after the main body of a letter or other body of writing. The term comes from the Latin post scriptum, an expression meaning "written after" (which may be interpreted in the sense of "that which comes after the writing"wink.

ETC
FOR et cetera: meaning "and other similar things."
It is used to avoid giving a complete list:
e.g. We saw lots of lions, tigers, elephants, etc.

RSVP
RSVP is French and it stands for "répondez s'il vous plaît."
It literally means "please respond" and is mostly used in invitation cards

Yeah, English borrowed a lot from Latin, French, Scandinavia and many more languages.
All they did was to modify the words and phrases.
