The Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, has therefore ordered all service chiefs to comply with the ceasefire agreement between Nigeria and Boko Haram in all theaters of operations. The Principal Private Secretary to the President, Ambassador Hassan Tukur, met with Chadian Government officials as well as representatives of the Boko Haram sect in N’Djamena, Chad on Friday morning. Securing the release of the 219 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram was a major part of the discussions. The Boko Haram sect was represented by Danladi Ahmadu at the meeting. Details to come…. sources http://www.channelstv.com/2014/10/17/nigeria-reaches-ceasefire-agreement-with-boko-haram-sect/ 8 Likes 5 Shares |

I support this govt but sometins are baffling... Insurgency reaching a ceazefire bf elections Mostly the poor masses caught in d inferno of bh More questions than answers In all, we tank God for the peace.nothing worse than driving and having a nagging thought of "what of if a bomb rigged car, goes off in front of u" Now for the chibok girls, if they are eventually released, it may be hard for them to lead normal lives again ..post traumatic stress disorder with all its attendant symptoms....girls probably used to score cheap political points 44 Likes 2 Shares |

I wonder why they left it this late or maybe the fear of #buhari is the beginning of wisdom. All we want is a better Nigeria doesn't matter who win 2015 just a better Nigeria. Youths in the house say #NO to these old politicians. Am hoping to see a 20 - 30years old person in the House of Rep come 2015 otherwise the youths in Nigeria are total failure. instead of channeling our energy on voting out this old cargos we are here on social media playing to the tunes from the drums of the people we have been hearing their name since we were in our mothers womb 64 Likes 9 Shares |

I pray it is true and not the other way round. Make I no go dey sing 2face E BE LIKE SAY for them oooooo cos thats what Fed. Govt does everytime. Edited. This Finaly make front page, let me now use this oppurtunity to preach unity Ni atetekose ni ORO tiwa, ORO wa pelu OLORUN, OLORUN SI NI ORO NAA (In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and God is that word) So, for this reason, I wanna say a word to ya'll and that word is UNITY Lemme quickly quote from the same Bible. "Ni'fe Omo la'keji re gege bi araa re" (LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF) here, the BIBLE doesn't say you are to love a Christian without loving Muslim, Traditional worshipers and Aetheist. It says "Love your neighbour" either your neighbour is Muslim, Christian, Traditionanist or Atheist, love them as you love yourself. If we truely love oneanother, either you are Igbo , Hausa or Yoruba there would be UNITY among us all. Allah(GOD) The Almighty orders Muslims to deal kindly and justly with non-Muslims: "Allah forbids you not, With regard to those who Fight you not for (your) Faith Nor drive you out Of your homes, From dealing kindly and justly With them: For Allah loveth Those who are just. (The Noble Quran, 60: 8 ) " extracted from @Rilwayne001 's Thread Good Manners In Islam www.nairaland.com/1943131/good-manners-islam ﻻ ﺍﻛﺮﺍﻩ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺪﻳﻦ ﻗﺪ ﺗﺒﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﺮﺷﺪ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻐﻲ ﻓﻤﻦ ﻳﻜﻔﺮ ﺑﺂ ﻟﻄﻐﻮﺕ ﻭ Qur'an 2vs 256 = verily, there is no compulsion in religion, the right has become clearly distinct from wrong copied from @Abdulsalam20 's signature. For the above reasons, I imploy Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba to let us all embrace oneanother, lets forget the past and lets us all look ahead to the future of this country without been clouded with religion or ethnicity sentiments. ( Ese Ifa ) "Ilu Oro nio jugbe, Ilu Ajoji nio juwo, Iya n ja'joji o n kigbe ilu e tan tan tan, Adiafun owarangun agan ti n sa'wo lo Ilu ai moni, Ilu ai mo'niyan, nje ibi won bati moni la'ba moogbe" (Perdon me, for I can't translate this to English but below are what it means) The above talked about Travelers. Either you are an Igbo man traveling to Yoruba kingdom or Aarewa Kingdom, we shouldnt treat oneanother badly to the extent that such visitor would be feeling lonely and be thinking of going back to where he came from. It lay more emphacy on Hospitality. We should treat everybody with respect no matter what our diffrences are, no matter the tribe you came from. We should make them feel at home. Don't allow any politician to use religion/ethnicity as a tool to use you in order to win an election. They have forgoten that it is only God that can enthrone and dethrone. The Alpha and the Omega. May the will of Da Almighty be done in this country. Finally, in whatever you do, think NIGERIA first. The bible says "E wa rere fun Orileede Naijiriya, tori ti awon ti won fee yoo se rere" (Find the goodness for Nigeria, for those who want it's goodness shall be prosper) I preach (SALAM) "PEACE" and Unity God Bless Nigeria. 27 Likes 5 Shares |

This is good news...but does it involve forfeiting capture territories? or is BH going to pull out of does areas? If not, we don enter one chance simple. So its actually possible to negotiate with BH all these years and FG simply refuse and prefer using it as election tool. God help us from our leaders! 7 Likes 2 Shares |

trulygirl: This is what Gen Buhari would have achieved for his beloved country had he accepted to mediate on Bokoharam behalf in Saudi Arabia when they nominated him. We have lost unaccountable innocent Nigerians and properties worth billions of dollars including the defence budget wasted in the fight against these monsters, only for the selfish Buhari to borrow money to contest for president of a country he refused to sacrifice a little for its citizens. Say no to Buhari, he is too selfish. 66 Likes 4 Shares |

If indeed the FG has reached a ceasefire agreement with BH and if that ceasefire leads to the release of the Chibok girls, then that would be real cause for celebration. I do hope, I sincerely do hope, that this story turns out to be true. But we should not delude ourselves that this marks the end of the insurgency. Nor should we even think that these jihadists will necessarily keep their promises. The truth is that the Chibok saga, as tragic as it is, has become an instrument of political blackmail. Believe it or not, those who oppose Goodluck Jonathan do not want those girls released -- at least not now. They think it would be too much of an electoral bonus, a public relations bonanza for him. This is realpolitik; it has nothing to do with how competent or incompetent Jonathan is. And for your information, I don't think Jonathan is exactly a paragon of presidential competence, to put it very mildly. Furthermore, as we read stories about how negotiations are taking place in Saudi Arabia, it should raise certain questions: Why Saudi Arabia? Why should terrorists feel safe to hold their negotiations there? What is the role of that country's government and its nationals in Boko Haram? If, as some people argue, Boko Haram has nothing to do with Islam, why should it choose the birthplace of Islam and the most islamic country in the world as its base for negotiations? Nigerians, ponder on these things and be wise! These times call for vigilance and prayer. Just my humble opinion. 13 Likes 1 Share |
