Funnicator: You won't be disqualified. All they'll need would be your university transcript and your good GRE scores. If they ask for O levels, your NECO result is one. 1 Like |

felixilin:. Dentistry is better becos i had that after two yrs u can become a doctor or even a maxofacial surgeon(plastic surgeon and ear nose and throat doctor) |
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by ikevin(m): 4:24pm On Oct 17, 2014 |
felixilin:if you have the opportunity to study dentistry, it pays better to take it. On graduation, you can still be a medical doctor by undergoing about a year programmen or even switch while in sch. Essentially, dentists are doctors too, they specialise on human teeth though. You get paid on the same level as doctors during housemanship. Abeg, take it jare. 1 Like |

Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by ebsuguy(m): 7:56am On Oct 21, 2014 |
ikevin:It was good, though somehow challenging.you will meet new things such as new courses, new terminologies, higher workload and, possibly, new way of studying. Syllabus.....Anatomy,Physiology and medical biochemistry.those are the core courses, then you might do some other courses such as community medicine and introduction to medical psychology, depending on your school.some school do a WHO program called COBES,I think unilorin and Delsu. Tests.....I think it varies depending on your school, some are tested only on Multiple choice questions while some only on theory questions and some on both. Survival...when you get to your school, make sure you are glued to your senior colleagues. They will put you through.About the rigorous workload, you will definitely adapt. |
