A proffessional today was once a learner and YES that's it..let's give room to be friendly with ourselves cos we might need help from someone outta here and we don't knw who dat cld be...thankx all...I stand to be corrected if dere is need for it... 16 Likes |

tenic09: I agree that the thread is meant to be helpful, but surely, why should people keep asking questions that have been discussed time and again? it's only fair that people go through the thread and then ask for clarification or questions on information that they cannot find on the thread. It gets boring seeing the same questions each and every day. Anyone who is seriously seeking info should be able to read, and asking people to refer them to specific pages means that we should go back searching the thread just to direct them to the right page? I think that's expecting too much. 8 Likes |

Bros there are no professionals here in this matter, people have paid the price by doing loads of research, sent dozens of e mails, made calls and have had to read, if anyone is serious minded enough it would only be wise to say that you should be ready to make some form of sacrifice by reading through the thread no matter how lengthy, taking notes and coming up with informed questions.... No one that has gone through this thread would say it isn't informative enough at least for starters....... I quite understand and agree to wat u said and its similar to wat I wrote too....its annoying truly to ask questions over and over again and av not insinuated that d question shld be answered and for anyone to stress herself on goin tru d pages to refer another person just in d name of answering a question.....my dear I read and read before I joined d family...and I always note d page where I stopped so as to knw where to start anytime I log in...I once asked a question upon all my wole soyinka reading and phema directed me to a page which was very useful and if anyone ask same question I will be glad to refer he/she cos I knw where it was discussed not by going out of my way to answer Just looking for a familiar and better way to relate with ourselves...thats all! Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by weaseloo: 6:38pm On Oct 18, 2014 |
Lotalways: Dr. La now charges a non-refundable deposit of $150 which will eventually be deducted from your full payment. I know El Paso charges $150 as well, not sure if they make it part of your payment. His fees like so many have mentioned already are: $3340: $2500 doctor's charges, $445 labs, $145 initial visit, $250 ultrasound. I tried to negotiate, them no gree. I have tried to see if I can do some of the tests here in Nigeria but the prices I am getting at my hosp is more expensive so, the $445 will be going to them. I am leaning more towards him bc I think he is expensive for a reason. Done my research on him and compared him with the other doctors at WHMC. To ice it, with the wonderful comments at the beginning of this thread about him, one of my friends used him last year and says good things about him and his services. Plus WHMC is a better location for me. Other fees include: WHMC vag/CS: 2500/4000 Epidural: 1200 Surg Assistant: 250 Paediatrics: 500/600 Pathology: 200/400 Hearing Test: $326 Circumcision: $325 I believe the last three can be negotiated. I see Houston is getting more traffic nowadays bc of MIHS's change in cost. Good luck big bumps! Any January houston bound mama's that want to hook up can write me at my username at rocke t m ail. I will not accept pms. Saving mode has been activated to give this baby the best entrance to this world 2 Likes |

Hello, You could check dr huynh also. She's slightly cheaper. As for the hearing test. I doubt that you'd be able to negotiate that further coz that's the discounted price for self-pay patients. Pathology will give you up to 50% discount if you ask. Circ cost varies per doctor. Your ultrasound & pedi costs seem to be on the high side tho. I think you shpuld compare prices with other doctors @ whmc sha. It cld be cheaper than this. Cheers weaseloo: |
